Creston Books A Wilcox and Griswold Mystery: The Case of the Missing Carrot Cake

Wanda Sykes reading brings this story to life, so we had to get the book
And believe it or not the book is just as good with pictures on every page/section as well as a carrot cake recipe!Nothing too scary, lots of new words for child to practice, and plays on phrases that kids and adults enjoy.Only downside, I wish I had Wanda Sykes voice and sound affects.

Just the facts, ma'am
One of my favorite children's book series when my boys were little was NATE THE GREAT, and this little gem of a book is just as fun and funny. I made my 17 year old younger son read it with me and we both got such a giggle from it. Robin Newman is to be commended on writing a book so good that a child 10 years older than the target age can still appreciate it. I look forward to the upcoming books in the series!

Great book!
My nine year old son absolutely loves this book and others by this author! He has read them all several times and continues to enjoy them. Good clean humor with no negatives!! I have recommended these books to many other families and will continue. Good quality hardback book! Only problem we saw was that the last page of each book was stuck to the hardback cover which did tear once we pulled it away. However, I'm sure this happened during shipping probably from the heat.

Charming, well-written story that appeals simultaneously to both children and adults. The kids love the captivating story and art while the adults get a huge kick out of the fun puns and linguistic twists and turns. I've read this to my kids' classrooms in different years, and the elementary school kids always enjoyed it.
