does this abacus come with instructions?

Sorry, no instructions are included with this abacus. I would say that this abacus would be used by an expert or one who works with very large numbers. This abacus has 23 rods or ketas, which is really reserved to bankers and those that work with very large amounts and numbers. A more common abacus size would be 13-15 rod or keta abacus. But, even those abacus would not come with instructions either. If you want to learn how to use one, I would suggest one of the many books out there, or going onto Youtube.com. There are also several apps which can help you learn how to use an abacus. Good luck! Hope this helps.

The product description says 13.5 x 2.8 x 0.8 inches, which looks right to me.

No it is not. The only wood part is the stick holding the beads. The beads and frame are all plastic. I am attempting to get a refund asap!
