The book is nicely organized and interesting to read. Walks you through all the stages of Mason bee care.

Not only is this a fun book to read, it also provides a lot of information about bees. We need the bees for pollinating our crops and gardens and the mason bees are some of the hardest working and most efficient pollinators known. You want to keep eating? Build some mason bee houses and plant a lot of flowers and vegetables. Oh, and read this book!

First year, ordered cocoons. Neither they, nor scent equalled success. Will soldier on, next year.

We used to have so many different kinds of flying insect pollinators. Due to modern fire clearance regulations that apparently stipulate the weedy grasses must be ground into the dirt, the ground dwelling bees etc, have virtually disappeared. We're still visited by mason bees, which probably nest in the hillier parts, but no longer see bumbles, blue wasps, syrphid flies, megachiles. Much of the yellow jackets are gone. I'd say about 90% gone. So, I thought I'd find out more about what mason bees need. This book "Mason Bee Revolution" is informative. Very nice photos in the front of the book. The most negative comment I have is: I find the "magazine" style of inserting other articles in between what I was just reading, annoying. I have to search for where to continue the sentence or paragraph interrupted by the insertion because it doesn't say "continued on page xxx". It's a book, not a newspaper or magazine, there is no need to do this kind of editing. I was determined to read the whole book, but I think that feature could discourage reading of the basic chapter. Overall, to help people understand these bees, and even provide flowers and water and shelter for them, and not reach for the bug spray is a huge step towards conservation of pollinators.

This is my 5th year keeping mason bees and this is an excellent resource. The book is very informative and has encouraged me to expand my solitary bee keeping into Leaf cutter bees as well. The texts was easy to understand and is a great resource for the backyard bee keeper. I’m happy I made this purchase and recommend you do the same!

I am a long time honey beekeeper and am expanding my habitat and housing for these solitary bees in recent years.This is hands down, my most useful guide on the highly productive Mason Bee.I found it to be particularly helpful as I design and install nesting houses with tubes that facilitate the female orchard bee egg laying practices.This book has all of the information I need to succeed with bees.Highly detailed yet without boring me to tears, and very well peppered with photos that I found very helpful.I have been binge reading about native pollinators and this is a "must have" for any serious student of native pollinators and how to provide for them by constructing houses and planting appropriate native plants to feed the bees so the bees can help the plants that feed us.Money well spent... I have the kindle edition but have come back to purchase the paperback version.I definitely endorse this well researched and delivered text on these valuable pollinators.

The book is easy to read and does give a lot of information for beginners to set up a bee house. At this point, I don't know if more information is going to be needed as my houses will go up next spring.

Learning more about bees and this was one of a few I ordered. It’s a nice book. However the back cover is slightly stained leading me to believe this was a previously owned book rather than new like I paid for. I should return it for a replacement and normally would but this time I just don’t have time for it. Check books carefully when they arrive. Removed a star for condition.

Fantastic book on everything Mason Bee. I have used this book with my bees for a full year and the book has increased my enthusiasm and knowledge of these wonderful, hardworking and needed insects!
