Review: Great, understanding it is manually activated - Good product. Bright but small enough to not encumber the life jacket (or donut throw). This is turned on manually. Have not tested in real life or death situation but I am confirmable with the quality. The one on the donut sits outside all the time and I periodically twist it to make sure it comes on. No failures.

Mi primera decepción es que esperaba una luz "Strobe", que generalmente se interpreta como destelleante pero no pasa de ser una luz intermitente muy normalita. La segunda decepción es que pensaba usarlo atado al chaleco salvavidas, contando que flotaba, pero al contrario, se hunde por el peso de las pilas, y debajo del agua esa tenue luz es prácticamente inútil. Intentaré darle uso añadiendo a su alrededor un anillo flotador.

**Q: Is anyone using rechargeable batteries with this? How long is it flashing for you then, please? Thank you.**
A: Rechargable batteries do not last as long as top quality alkaline's nor do they hold a charge as long.   Plus, are you going to remember to recharge them often?   Throw some Duracell's in and be done.   Lithium if you want some Overkill.  If the alkaline's wear out I've been in the water way to long.

**Q: Does this meet the uscg 161.013 requirements for nighttime distress signal??**
A: It is too small and weak to serve as the vessel nighttime distress light, it is really meant to locate an individual who has fallen overboard at night.

Yo compré una unidad para usar como complemento de seguridad de los chalecos salvavidas en mi velero. Mi primera decepción es que esperaba una luz "Strobe", que generalmente se interpreta como destelleante pero no pasa de ser una luz intermitente muy normalita. La segunda decepción es que pensaba usarlo atado al chaleco salvavidas, contando que flotaba, pero al contrario, se hunde por el peso de las pilas, y debajo del agua esa tenue luz es prácticamente inútil. Intentaré darle uso añadiendo a su alrededor un anillo flotador.
