They're reeds, pretty standard. They smell a little funky out of the package but that goes away by letting them chill or putting them in diffuser oil. They do a good job.

As far as what they look like, they have legit-looking channels that run throughout. There really are 120 of them (yep, I counted). The only thing I don't like is how bad they seem to stain with one of my oils - which might not be the fault of the reeds! I guess the trick to getting full use out of them is to turn them upside down in the oil every several days. The problem is, some of them stained so badly after just the first day that it would be unsightly. That might be the fault of the oil I am using or even the container. Still, it's worth taking note of.I think that the note about a "flaw" on the back of the package is due to a language barrier! Some of the reeds were a bit different in color than others. I didn't really mind.The price was good enough that I'm not mad. I put them in oil at around 7 pm and checked the next day & there was a mild scent emanating. The strength of the scent will also depend on the quality of the oil. So, overall, these are not bad. I might try some others since this is my first time but this wasn't a bad deal.

These reeds are a great sturdy item however either they don’t absorb well or the scented fragranced oil (liquid )isn’t absorbed easily.

Replacement diffusers for when I change scents. They work very well.

These reeds do not seem to wick very much at all. I have to flip the reeds frequently in order to have the fragrance emitted.

These reeds are wonderful. They hold the smell for very long time, even after the oil is gone. I usually use 5 of them at a time. They work great.

I've been looking all over for some straight not bent/curved (even relatively straight if possible) diffuser reeds/wood sticks. These natural rattan reeds were mostly bent and not straight reeds (poor quality control) I did read some of the bad reviews about how awful this smelled but since it was pretty inexpensive and I was praying and hoping that I won't have the same experience I decided to ignore it and buy it.I should have believed the recent reviews because the smell was so foul when I opened the package. I even had it spread out hoping the smell will go away but it does not! It smells like sour dough/vinegar/?? a very pungent smell that is strong. There is no way I can use this for my own diffusers or even gift a diffuser product carrying reeds that smells so pungent! It will ruin any pretty scent or sour it. I am super disappointed and annoyed! And because I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it I will just throw it away. This was my personal experience and I really hope no else has to go through this. ARGHHH.

These work perfectly and last longer than I expected. Would purchase again.
