Turned black
Not sure about this stuff... Rigged a few mahi lines, used them, rinsed them, put away. Month later the mono turned black. Wth???UPDATED 11-6-18: KastKing went out of their way to resolve the issue I had. They seemed genuinely concerned and sent a replacement spool for me to try. While I have not tested it yet, they have proven that they will stand behind their product. With this said, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase other items from KastKing.

Pleasantly surprised by this mono leader
I am very pleasantly surprised by this mono leader line. I use expensive top brand fluoro for all my leaders other than for bottom fishing, but this is making me rethink my investment. I purchased the 50lbs version of this line to make dropper loop rigs for bottom fishing. Immediately from touching this line, I knew this material was superior to any other mono I had used.Pros:- smaller diameter. The 50lbs line was 0.60mm, which is equivalent to top brand 40lbs fluoro leader at 0.62mm.- supple/low memory compared to other mono lines. If you're using a spinning reel, this does not fly off your spool as easily as how flouro or thick mono lines does.- very clear. Side by side comparison to regular mono shows a noticeable clarity difference, and *gulp* almost as clear as fluoro.Cons:- Might break at the knot easier. By a simple pulling test a few times, I broke the line at the knot (dropper loop knot and perfection knot) at a lower weight than on the same test for other 50lbs mono line. The suppleness of the line might make for a tight knot, but I suspect it might also constrict it so tight that it makes the line prone to breaking at the knot. This likely will depend on what knot you use so may not be applicable to everyone.I am not replacing my 50lbs fluoro leader line just yet but considering that this is the same diameter as 40lbs fluoro for a fraction of the cost, I am sure I will be adding more spools to my arsenal in the near future.

Too soft to be trustworthy
ORIGINALI use the 200lb size as shock leader for shark fishing. So far it's been through the mouth of a 10+ foot Sand Tiger Shark as well as multiple brown sharks and has yet to snap. I will say though, the leader looked VERY mangled after crossing those sand tiger teeth but it held till the end of the fight.AFTER 1 YEAR OF USEThis 200lb shock leader has not fared well with time. Even in the beginning, if it got spiraled or wrapped/kinked it became extremely weak and easy to break. It also holds a lot of memory so it's not the best leader to wrap in a bag and keep for the next season. Would rather pass on this and choose the suffix mono leader instead.

A must for surf fishing
I was surf fishing using regular heavy mono as a leader, it was not ideal. The regular mono was easily tangled around the weights and so I was catching less and the line frayed due to rubbing against the weights. Nearly lost a small shark, luckily I was able to land it and remove the hook before releasing it. So I decided to get a crimper and make my own leaders with actual leader material. The DruaBlend mono was much more rigid, I haven't had any problems with leaders getting tangled since switching over. It's also very satisfying to make your own leaders with the specs and tackle that you want. Highly recommended.

Strong, secure and works for real men
What I received was a spool secured by 2 twist ties. At the end of the day, I’m a man. So I don’t need to complain about things that don’t really matter. The product is exactly what it’s supposed to be. There is even fine print that says “packaging may very”.

Fiddler Crab Tested, Sheepshead Approved.
Kastking Durablend is my favorite leader material on the market. I have used this leader in saltwater as well as fresh water and it hasn't failed me! I fish a lot of structure for big fish such as redfish, black drum and monster sheepshead and it holds up tremendously. It is incredibly strong with a very low stretch and even lower memory. I break hooks off on snagged structure before my leader ever even breaks. I highly recommend this leader, because you cannot beat the quality and price.

Purchased a roll of the 20 LB and a roll ...
Purchased a roll of the 20 LB and a roll of the 50 LB Test for leader material. Went fishing for some box channel cats using the 20 LB test leader line the morning after receiving my order. Hoisted my third channel in the boat and the leader broke just above the hook. Examination of the line revealed abnormal wear of the line from the channel cats abrasive teeth. If three 2 to 3 pound channel cats can do this much damage to this line can you imagine what a large blue cat will do. I will not be using this line in any pound test in the future, going back to Berkley Big Game.Note: Line abrasion was not due to rocks or brush, as was fishing a sandy flat using fiber bait and a slip bobber, hook was tied with a clinch knot.

Don't overpay for flourocarbon, this is perfect.
Due to the outrageous price of fluorocarbon I tried this to make leaders for the Albie, bass and bluefish blitz in New England and was pleasantly surprised. The pictures attached to this review are of the 50 lb durablend leader I tied and used for an entire day on the water. This leader landed approximately 10 stripers, 10 bluefish and 2 albies with ZERO issues - I did not have to replace it all day, and although I will replace it next time I go out it is probably perfectly fine to use again. If you're on the fence about purchasing this product, give it a shot, it is an excellent value for the money. Compared apples to apples with pure fluorocarbon it definitely has a little bit of stretch but otherwise it is identical - completely disappears in water and is extremely tough, the very tiny little bit of stretch is negligible and ultimately irrelevant in any fishing application I can think of. It ties a very sturdy knot and holds strong I will be using this for my leaders from now on.

Brilliant leader line, especially for speed jugging with braid.
I bought this line as a mono leader to attach to my braid speed-jigging line (30 lbs), and it has fulfilled my expectations. It's quite limp, so takes a knot well, but seems very tough and abrasion resistant - speed jigging is hard on gear, and I need a leader line that gives me confidence. This is it - strong, low-stretch and clear in the water - and cheaper than flouro! Great spool too, keeping the line from escaping. Recommended.

Very pleased
This is excellent. I'm not a fisherman/woman, I bought it for craft purposes. It holds the weight expected, is virtually invisible, knots easily but doesn't tangle. Would definitely buy again.
