PRIME-LINEB 705 3/4 In. to 1-3/8 In. Wide, 7 foot, Black Vinyl Bug Seal (Single Pack)

What is this used for? Sometimes, a patio door has a gap between the doorframe and the screen door where bugs can easily sneak through. This product is a rubber piece that slides into a track on your sliding door and has a flap to seal that gap.The piece that fits into the track on the sliding door has some ribs that compress to allow you to push it into the door and allow it to stay. It was a little tricky figuring out which size to get because I didn't know how much the ribs compressed. I contacted the manufacturer, and they recommended getting the size that is slightly *larger* than the width of my track (because the ribs compress). My track was 5/16 inch (0.3125 in), and I ordered the 0.350 in product. It fit like a charm! It easily inserted into the door. I was then able to cut it to length with scissors. I did not need to adjust the size of the flap, but it looks like you can easily tear part of the flap off to get it to size.See the attached photos in case you are confused how this product works. Note: the photo showing the flap out of the channel is just to demonstrate how the product installs--it easily fits back in.

Fits snuggly into the track and is wide enough to make good contact with the glass to seal the bugs out. Great price for the good quality of the strip.

This works as intended but read the instructions. The ends tend to be compressed really tightly and they will not retain their shape unless you soak it very hot water. I boiled a kettle of water submerged the rubber in that for about 5 minutes. I then carefully took it out and set it in place. This product needs to be cut to length and width based on the door but it’s very easy to do, and there are plenty of videos that one can find to learn the easiest way to cut. I did have to use a little bit of adhesive at the bottom of one piece but that was because my door has screws that don’t allow it to sit flush against the metal. Works as intended.

My sliding screen door seal was installed 2&1/2” short from both ends. This allowed insects inside. This new seal pressed into groove from top to bottom. I used heavy scissors to cut the seals flap at top and bottom at junction of frame to glass creating a sliding seal at both levels.

The way the roll this up squishes one end and makes it impossible for a firm fit. I had to re mold. Bought a 2nd one with same problem but not as bad. Doable

My sliding door screen had about half of this missing so I got lots of insects in the house. I got this & removed the old one. Super easy to put this on, I did have to trim the length a bit. Solved the bug problem! I wish I had done this long ago.

Do not purchase this item. As others have stated, it comes rolled up, and the one I got had a full 1/3 of the insert was crushed and malformed where it would not stay in the door channel. I left it lying in the 92 degree summer sun for a couple of hours to soften up and try to get it to regain its original shape. But this did not work. So this seal is absolutely worthless.Save yourself some money and do not purchase.The pictures I attached are of the "Good" portion that will work, but the other pictures are of the malformed insert portion.But, being from China, what did I really expect. I only wished we had MORE American made products. I am so sick and tired of the cheap garbage from China!!

This item was perfect and work well on my door.It was stiff at first but leaving it out in the hot sun made it very easy to work with.I trimmed certain parts so that it would fit perfectly the rest was awesome.I would highly recommend this item.Thankfully Amazon had it even though Canadian Tire Home Depot and Home Hardware had nothing like this whatsoever.

Worked as required. Installed in the frame of a patio screen door to block the space between the screen and the glass door. Was a little wider than the opening but with some work I got it in the frame slot. Fit tight to the glass and kept out the bugs.
