Not easy to figure out how they work. They also have some design flaws.
My grandson (age 3) loves watching videos of bagpipe playing. And he loves to pretend to play them himself. When I saw these online I thought they would be perfect for him. However the design has flaws. It is very hard to get a good seal so that the bag stays infected. There is not very clear instructions on how to use them either. I was disappointed in them. However, for pretend play they work fine. If you are wanting these bagpipes to be used to actually play music, then these are not what you want.

It's a kids toy, but fun for the whole family
These were exceptional. I was expecting a horrible sounding toy that was going to quickly be thrown out because the kids would play annoyingly. What I got was a piece of comedic gold.We open the bag and find a reed and think, "huh where does this go?" The adults in the house proceed to research what the spare reed is for. One adult proposed it should be on the mouthpiece like an oboe (other adults laugh). While the adults attempt to figure this out, the 6 year old starts blowing air into it and hands it back saying it doesn't work. We take the pipes from her and one of us proceed to blow air into it and squeeze the bag. We were expecting a whine more akin to cats dying. What was got was a pleasant honk. What? Yes, a honk. The room is silent for a moment and everyone begins to laugh hysterically.This moment of laughter was worth every penny. I definitely recommend this toy to other parents. Happy honking!

Doesn't Play- Doesn't Look Complete
We setup the bagpipes but noticed that each pipe is not drilled out fully so no air can pass through. It only comes right back out the blow hole. Cheap cost, cheap product I guess . Do not recommend.

Does Not Work! Vendor CHARGES you to return!
Product description says product is "playable". It is not. One "bagpipe" squeaked once and stopped working. The other let out a squeal that could not be modified by putting a finger on the touchholes. Manufacturer claims returns are FREE. NOT TRUE! I was charged $7.99 to return and will file a complaint with Amazon.

Not what I wanted
This was so exciting to buy, my husband was soExcited when he opened it, and then he tried to play it and it sounds like a dog squeeze duck chew toy. 😫Total waste
