World's biggest $10 KNOT
This arrived as a seemingly harmless skein of yarn - one that I paid nearly $10 for, when previously I paid $5.99 at the craft store for this same color and brand. As luck would have it, we simply needed ONE more skein to finish this project, and this color is apparently in a Fall line of colors. My husband and I spent TWO HOURS unknotting this $10 misery project. We had to cut it up to unknot it. And by cut it up, I mean, like 16 times. I've never seen anything like this and I've been avidly knitting and crocheting since 2007.I realize this can happen sometimes, but paying nearly twice what I paid 3 months ago for this same yarn really only added to the misery. I felt like Rusty unknotting the Christmas lights ball, in Christmas Vacation. Yikes.

I always love using the Lion Brand Heartland yarn. I made this soft bunny using this particular shade.

Fast becoming my favorite yarn
Lion Brand Heartland is becoming one of my favorite yarns very quickly. This yarn is classified as 4 WW but it is more of a light ww yarn so you need to adjust your hook size accordingly unless the pattern calls for light ww. It is a very soft yarn and the hues are stunning. I bought this because I was working on baby overalls, and this was the only way I could purchase this yarn. It worked up very smoothly for me, no snags, hooks splitting the yarn, or chapping of my fingers. The end result of the overalls was stunning. It had a beautiful sheen to it and the color was vibrant. Washing? That was a breeze! I just put it in a garment bag and tossed it in. I accidentally tossed it in the dryer, oops I know, well it came perfectly fine. I had next to no shrinkage and the pills we all hate? It had none! I was very surprised because normally there will be some amount of it but I didn't experience any. It was soft to begin with and washing/drying had no effect on it. I didn't experience any tie together's, where the yarn run stops and they re-attach to make a full ball. Overall this is perfect for baby, kids, blankets, scarves, or even shawls.

Will Purchase Again!
I absolutely love this yarn.It feels so good while I’m working with it, and holds together well as I crochet. It’s also so comfortable. The kid I’m making things for has sensory issues and can’t handle wool. This feels lovely! I’ll buy this again.

Good color and nice stitch definition for an acrylic yarn
For an acrylic yarn that is readily available in the big box hobby shops, Lion Brand Heartland knits up nicely. It has good stitch definition, doesn't fall apart while you're knitting; doesn't feel like you're knitting with recycled plastic as some acrylics do. It isn't prone to splitting while you're working with it. Some of the colors in this line, especially the darker colors, look very nice. The Redwood shade is a rich looking deep red - neither a bright fire engine red, nor a wine color.Although I think this is pretty good for a cheap acrylic, if I were going to invest 20+ hours of my time in a project I would use a better quality, natural fiber yarn - especially if I'm making something like a sweater, or a future heirloom piece such as an afghan or blanket. But for a quick project like a scarf, or something that you plan to toss in the washing machine like a dog sweater, this is fine.Something to keep in mind, Lion Brand Heartland is carried by most of the big box craft and hobby stores like Michael's and Joanne's; it's even available at Walmart - usually for under five dollars. I placed an order for three skeins on Amazon which was filled over the course of a week in three different shipments. Thankfully dye lots don't seem to matter much with this.

Beautiful yarn
This yarn looks very rich......Crocheted a scarf for my adult son with this lovely yarn and he really loved. I created my own pattern and it just looks so upscale. Will order again in the future to create a pullover sweater for myself. Love, LovedForgot to take a photo, will ask my son to take one for me so I could post it.

Product not what is advertised. Disappointed.
Product is not what I ordered. I ordered another skein of the "Mount Rainier " yarn (on the top in the pictures), but I received the product on the bottom. The article and color numbers are the same, but they came from different lots and the shades are drastically different to the point it is unusable in my project. Even the quality feels worse and is scratchy, not soft and shiny like the original product. The label is different than the advertised product and it feels like a completely different product. It was almost twice as expensive too for some reason. Very disappointed.

Love this wool
Love to work with this wool and was fast delivery, but won't be buying more from this seller. I weighted the yarn on my scale (I do this to make sure I have enough for project) it's suppose to be 5 ounces but was only 4.66 ounces. Not enough to finish project.
