You'll need to be comfortable with taking things apart and reassembling them (take pictures as you go or find a YouTube guide) These things are great. I have an old 360 controller I now use for my PC/SteamLink. The rubber on the thumbsticks was worn down to the plastic in some spots, and missing in others (post bird-attack) plus there was dust and sticky buildup at the sticks and on some of the buttons. The thumbsticks themselves were a perfect fit and replacment and are comfortable to use, including extended sessions. As an added bonus, i was able to clean all the plastic parts, essentially restoring the controller to the condition it was in when it was new. The fact that it comes with the required screwdriver is awesome and means I can clean the rest of my controllers if needed, plus I have extra thumbsticks now if I ever need them as well.

Works entirely as expected! The security torx driver allowed me to open the controller, which was an excellent opportunity to clean sticky buttons and reseat the force feedback motors that had broken loose from a friend's rage-quit. I swapped a few extra black bits over from one of my other controllers to compliment the black sticks since they were going on the wired white controller I use for PC gaming.I bought this just for the torx screwdriver, but it was even cheaper than other sellers sold just the screwdriver for, so it's pretty great value of you ask me. The only thing better would be buying the whole rebuild-kit just for the extra sturdiness.

Used these to replace some worn out thumbsticks on an original xbox controller. These are a bit shorter than the OEM sticks that come on the original controller but, do not hinder gameplay in any way. I've been playing a lot of games since switching them and have had no issues. The quality of these sticks are on point. It is worth noting that if you are buying these for the original xbox controller, the little screws on the controller are a phillip "+" shape and not a star pattern like the screw driver that comes with this product.

I bought this because after many months of pressure, my Xbox 360's thumbsticks finally gave out (although they did last ever since I first got my original console, around 4 years ago). The screwdriver felt fine when using it to unscrew the screws, and the thumbsticks are of very good quality. I have been using 2 of them for nearly 3 months, and they seem to be holding out well.

The Xbox 360 controller is my favorite controller for playing video games. I use them for playing arcade games on my pc. I recently broke off one of the thumbsticks and was pleased to find these from Lake Effect Merch that came with the T8 screwdriver. The tool and the thumbsticks worked perfectly! It is getting much harder to find genuine Xbox 360 controllers, so I was very pleased to be able to repair mine thanks to this kit.

purchased to restore two old original xbox controller that fit an feel good makes the controller look new like lol the extra tool to open the xbox 360 controller is a nice added tool although I did not use it but some day it may come in handy because I don't have this size T screw driver this is a good buy

Almost perfect replacement. 2 out of 4 thumbsticks were loose when attaching them to the posts. None fit as snug as the originals which required a considerable amount of pulling force to remove. The overall quality in materials and craft is otherwise great and exactly like factory originals. If only they would have fit better. . .

This includes everything you need to replace your old, worn out thumbsticks, or ones that your dog decided he liked ;0) If you plan on doing more of these, I'd suggest getting a higher quality screw driver.

these are cheap knockoffs that stick when moved, so most of the time you make forward movements in games without even touching the stick. buy genuine from ms or get a new controller
