Good for sheet music, bad for music books
Just to be clear, I am reviewing this stand as a music stand, in case there are any readers curious about other capacities. This stand has much to recommend about it. It is stable, adjustable within a reasonable range, and the primary elements are sturdy. A music stand does not actually need to be very complex. School music stands are generally made of rather heavy material so that they can take what students throw at them, but they are simple pieces.For your own home use, though, there is one other critical element. The holders that hold down the music itself. The metalic arms are quite thin and flimsy, with very little room to give. For sheet music, this is fine. If you are only working with sheet music, have no concerns, you will be fine. If you have a music book, though, the usefulness of this stand will depend on the thickness of the book. It won't take a very thick book before the metal holders reach the limit of their capacity, and the pages all pop out, and the book shuts itself on you while you try to play. How much of a concern this is to you will depend on your use case. Sheet music? You're fine. Music book? You may want to look elsewhere.With that as an explanation, the main structures are quite nice.

Music stand. Holds music. Yeah. That’s about it.
Ordered this for the keyboard, saxophone, trumpet, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, concertina and bass guitar player in the fam. Yeah, you get it. He plays a lot. I am probably missing an instrument or 5. Those are the big ones.So, he’s got it all. Strings hanging on walls. Amps. Woodwinds all over. But. Terrible dad, has overlooked a music stand.This one does it. Three telescopic adjustments for the perfect height. Easy to transport as it comes apart and the legs fold, stand easily removed. Even lightening holes in the stand.Music stand with features it is. Rock on, music boy, rock ON.

Kinda flimsy, not that stable
This is a little awkward for holding music books - the page holders just don't work well for one handed fast page-turning. It's also not very stable. We're sticking with the Amazon Basics sheet music stand - WAY better quality!
