It has a post. They are really cute earrings

No. Mine still look the same as the day I bought them. I have and sensitive ears and can only wear some types of earring too.

Q: Does it actually stay in place rather than hang off the ear like the cheapy ones?

Yes it does. Both earrings stayed perfectly on place along the ear...no hanging. Actually had a coworker ask me how I got them to stay. She has a pair of climbers her husband got her and she says the won't stay in place. Not these, they are great and I have super sensitive ears...no issues.

Q: Is the post 925 as well for the pearls?

It does not say. I have worn them and my ears did NOT become discolored.
