Check the Fit - See Review for Comparsions with Other Columbia PFG Styles
COLUMBIA PFG FITColumbia makes some fantastic shirts, and the Terminal Tackle series is no exception. The only downside to the Terminal tackle, and the only reason I deducted a star, is that these shirts have freakishly long sleeves. Most PFG shirts run a little large, but the sleeves on these are fairly ridiculous. I am 5’10”, 195 lbs, and would typically wear a Large in most similar styled shirts, but I have to get a Medium in Columbia PFG shirts. Even with the Medium size, the sleeves on this shirt will hang completely over the end of my fingertips. I typically pull the sleeves up anyway, but this is pretty aggravating. Normally, if a shirt fit poorly, I would return, but I packed the shirt for a trip and didn’t have any alternative but to wear it. So the moral of the story is, if you have average length arms, you may want to drop down 1 to 2 shirt sizes from your normal fit. Tip number two is that because these shirts are on different sizing scale, many get returned to the Amazon Warehouse, so keep an eye for Amazon Warehouse deals on these shirts (see tips to finds the easiest way to compare prices across sizes and colors at the conclusion of this review).Another hint with Columbia shirts is that any of the styles which have an SPF rating will be the best for extreme heat. The open style weave is extremely breathable, hence the cooling effect, yet some UV penetration can occur, hence the SPF rating. For example, the Blood & Guts III, Tamiami II, and Terminal Tackle have this type of fabric, which makes them by far my favorite styles for summer time outdoor wear. Below I have rated/summarized this and other shirts in the PFG line based on several factors.MOISTURE MANAGEMENT (SWEAT ABSORBTION, COMFORT LEVEL WHEN MOIST & DRYING SPEED)>Terminal Tackle - 5 Stars>Blood & Guts III - 5 Stars>Tamiami II - 5 Stars>Bonehead – 3.5 Stars>Bahama II – 2 StarsBREATHABILITY FOR WARM WEATHER WEAR>Terminal Tackle – 4.5 Stars (The collared styles below are vented, making them slightly cooler)>Blood & Guts III - 5 Stars>Tamiami II - 5 Stars>Bonehead – 3.5 Stars>Bahama II – 3 StarsOVERALL COMFORT LEVEL>Terminal Tackle – 4 Stars>Blood & Guts III - 5 Stars>Tamiami II – 4.5 Stars>Bonehead – 3.5 Stars>Bahama II – 3 StarsWRINKLE RESISTANCE>Terminal Tackle – 5 Stars>Blood & Guts III - 5 Stars>Tamiami II - 5 Stars>Bonehead – 2 Stars>Bahama II – 1 StarSTAIN RESISTANCE>Terminal Tackle – 4.5 Stars>Blood & Guts III - 5 Stars (Treated Fabric)>Tamiami II – 2 Stars>Bonehead – 3 Stars>Bahama II – 4 StarsFIT (ALL REQUIRE A SIZE SMALLER THAN NORMAL)>Terminal Tackle – Loosest Fit of all, may even require 2 sizes smaller than normal>Blood & Guts III – Trimmest Fit of All, but still order a size smaller than normal>Tamiami II – Fit 1 size smaller than normal (if you wear Large, order Medium)>Bonehead – Fit 1 size smaller than normal (if you wear Large, order Medium)>Bahama II – Fit 1 size smaller than normal (if you wear Large, order Medium)AMAZON PRICE COMPARISON & WAREHOUSE DEALSI found myself getting very aggravated at the way Amazon lists apparel items with multiple colors, as it can take forever to search through multiple color (and size) options to see the cheapest offerings. On my iPad version, the color prices are displayed in a list style automatically, but on my PC desktop I would have to select each color/size to see the price options. I finally found a simpler way. Follow these steps:>Select a color and size option for the shirt.>Look on the right hand side of the screen to see if there are multiple offers for this garment. If so, select the “new and used from” (or “new” if no used offerings available) icon, which will take you to a list view screen. (There must be multiple offerings for the exact size and color selected for this option to appear, so if you do not see the “new and used from” hyper-link, then select another size/color combination till the link appears.)>In the list view screen, select your size and click the “lowest offer for each” icon beside the color selector. This will display the cheapest offering for each color shirt in that size, so you can quickly see which colors are the cheapest. Also, this view will show any Amazon Warehouse Deals available. As mentioned in the first paragraph, these shirts get returned often due to sizing issues, and many times the Warehouse deals are shirts that were tried on, then immediately returned for a smaller size.THANKSThanks for reading my review.

Very comfy, sizing is odd
These shirts are very comfy and will keep the sun off and keep you cool. You will need to order one size smaller than you normally wear. I'm 6'0" 200lb and wear an XL. Ordered this in L and fits great. If it matters to you, the lighter colored shirts will show off your manly nips and moobs. Darker colored shirts are more muted. FYI.

This is NOT Columbia brand.
I have multiple PGF shirts just like the one I ordered. When I recieved the product, it was the wrong color, material, and the neck was way too big. The big logo down the sleeve is non-existent and the tag on the base of the shirt says made in China while the tag behind the neck says made in El Salvador. I don't like bashing products or sellers at all, I just don't want someone to pay for the wrong product.

Runs big, Yellow is a true sunny yellow - not dull as pictured
Love these for my husband. He hates sunscreen on the water and these help protect him. He is always hot but somehow he says if he's too hot while shirtless he cools off when he puts this on. Must reflect the sun or something - but it works. He's cooler with it on and in 100+ temps, on the water for 10+ hours he doesn't get any color at all - certainly not burnt. I bought a few for myself but they only have a few colors for womenThe yellow is not dull as pictured - more of a true sunny yellow. Doesn't look feminineThe moxie is a bit of a neon green - a more muted tone than road construction men wear, but similar.Vivid blue is as pictured - a true blue in the royal blue familyThese run VERY big. My husband is a solid large in almost everything - +/- 42-44in chest. He fits in to a size small comfortably but opts for a medium for a bit of a looser fit which is more comfortable for him in hot weather. The large is what you'd expect to be a XXL. Oddly the women's are true to size. We found he also wears a medium in the blood and guts series of button up shirts. Maybe it's vanity sizing for men :)

Coolest, most comfortable
I love these shirts. I got one and now I have one for every day of the work week. It has been over 100 degrees lately and wouldn't even think of wearing another shirt. I can go without sunscreen (except my face), and with the slightest breeze and a little sweat, I feel about 10 degrees cooler. I recently went to the science museum, that had an exhibit with a thermal camera. Everyone's shirt was a degree of red, and my columbia PFG was a cool white! I have a hane's and an amazon basics version of these shirts, but the columbia is waayy better.

The extra length is great
I have four of these shirts. Two have the hoodie and two dont. The sleeves are extra long so your wrist are always covered and length is extra long so it doesnt pull out of your pants when tucked in.There is only one design issue that Columbia needs to correct. Get rid of the lettering on the left sleeve. With the lite weight material the lettering causes the sleeve to twist due to the weight of the lettering. These are my favorite shirt to wear backpacking for the lite weight, sun screen protection and bug protection.

Great quality shirt in the light green colour...but beware of the dark purple sun protection ones
Good quality, nice feel and full fit...BUT...based on this shirt I ordered 2 more in dark purple...very disappointed...the purple ones (XL and M) were undersized, thinner material and "nasty" feeling according to my wife. The purple ones were the same Columbia PGA brand but additionally labelled as for sun protection...beware.

MARAVILLADA

CAREFULL WITH THE SIZING
This shirt have very odd sizing. I usually wear a size XL, but it was way to big. I understand its not made to be tight, but I mean they were huge. Luckily I was able to give the XL to my Dad and reorder Large. Even then they are on the big side. Maybe I will try a medium next time around
