Have a worn dark brown leather belt that I like the look and feel of, use a lot. The original buckle didn't match the aged look. This brass effect one looks much better. Some sort of laquering I think, be clear this is of course not brass, not sure how well it will wear but it is solid. (Why cant we get brass buckles?) To fit on my belt undid the belts screw and unpicked a small amount of heavy guage stitching which I reused to restitch using a heavy needle, took less than an hour. Update, just over 18 months old, regularly used, lacquer has worn through as expected. Still intact though.

The original buckle on my belt snapped but too good to throw away. The replacement was easy to fit, looks the part and I’m pleased the belt has a new lease of life.

The prong is not long enough the latch onto the frame so the buckle comes lose and the belt unravels. Someone at the manufacturer can't measure properly or they are trying to save money.

Remplacer une boucle brisée par une nouvelle sans passer par la case cordonnier (faut il encore en trouver un qui accepte ce genre de petit boulot)

Ho usato la fibbia su una cintura di pelle intrecciata che aveva la fibbia originale rotta. Il risultato è molto buono, la fibbia è massiccia e fa ben sperare sulla longevità. Il colore simil bronzeo della fibbia dona un tocco di eleganza anche se la cintura è da 40mm ed è destinata ai jeans.
