Quality product and a whole lot of fun
I’ve purchased 11 of these blades in the last six months. They were very consistent and all worked well. I’ve had no problems with build quality or materials used. These were given to some of my students as awards. I’ve never seen such big smiles on people’s faces. They didn’t know what to expect so there was some shock and awe as they were handed out. There is something about getting a lightsaber that makes anyone happy.Packaging: things shift around a little in the individual boxes, but the handle is nestled well in a foam holder.Materials: as stated above, everything was tight and fit well. The blade is held in place by screws that use pressure. There is no mechanical connection between the blade and the handle. I haven’t tried any hard hits, but the swinging and soft battles that ensued immediately upon them being bestowed went well and there were no structural failures.Software: extensive options for the blade. Before I gave them to the students I changed the volume to quiet (the normal is quite loud). I also picked what color blade I felt they each deserved. It went over very well. The only thing that took me a while was figuring out how to turn it completely off (helps if you read the directions).Updates: There were some changes to the activation bottom between my two orders, but I think it is still aesthetically pleasing. There is a fairly standard black wrap that you can use on the handle, but it certainly isn’t necessary. It does add a nice piece of customization to the handle. The power cord is fairly standard and they charged very quickly.Overall, this is a quality product with a nice ability to customize to your own style. Shipping was fast and I will likely being buying more of these in the upcoming year. The only thing I can’t speak to is their customer service and that is only because I haven’t had to use it yet. Thanks for a great product.

"An elegant weapon, from a more civilized age."
This may be the BEST affordable/budget lightsaber available right now. The combination of the durability, dueling capability, sound fonts / effects, customization and ease of use make it TOUGH TO BEAT. Between this great saber, my equally budget-friendly Jedi costume and my scruffy (nerfherder?) beard - I FELT LIKE Old Ben Kenobi. You won't be disappointed by this saber. Especially if it's your first one! May the Force Be With You!

nice, but upsold
I received this saber a couple of days ago and I've been torn on how to review it. My first impression was what an amazing saber I can get for around $100 and I was ready to give 5 stars. Then I did a ton of research and no I'm not sure. The hilt of this saber is a LGT SABERSTUDIO hilt that you can get for $24 elsewhere, and you can get a blade of equivalent or higher quality for $20, so let's anchor the value of this lightsaber at $44 or less. There is a huge marketplace for lightsabers and in retrospect I probably would have gone with one from crimson dawn, although they also source from LGT so who knows. Now for my thoughts on this product specifically:- It definitely seems durable- The sounds and customizable LED colors are great, although I have come to find out this is industry standard. Note that there are 9 sound fonts which are each a character. This affects all of the sounds (turn-on/turn-off, background sound while on, blaster deflect, lock-up, clash, hum while swinging, and audio clip shout)- What's with the grip tape they send you? It only has a sticker on one end and no instructions for how to apply it. It almost immediately came off, and I've had to redo it a few times within a day of play and add my own foam tape to keep it attached but it's so flimsy it keeps rolling down. I'm planning to look for some other grip tape to use.- The instructions give you three sets of commands for three different products - ECO Smooth Swing, Pixel Saber, 9 Fonts Base. After some exploration I've found that none of these are correct. The actual instructions are basically the same as the set given for the 9 Fonts Base except that: * (in wake mode) 3 flashes = cycles through background music * (in wake mode) 4 flashes = cycles through sound fonts * (while on) 3 flashes = shouts an audio clip in the currently selected sound font- The diffusion in the blade is pretty good but could definitely be better. The far half is dimmer than the near half and the cap has some rings.- As a 5'7" person the 36" blade is longer than ideal for doing spinning tricks. I think 28"-32" is more my size. I've heard that the blade length should match your inseam length.- There are no instructions on how to apply the various screws. I've come up with a configuration that work for me after some trial and error.Overall you can clearly see that this company is just trying to dump some leftover product insufficient documentation. If you absolutely need a lightsaber within prime delivery window I guess go for it but otherwise I'd look elsewhere.

Good for the price!
I love these. I bought two a couple of years ago and they’re still holding up. I don’t go too crazy with them but I’ve dropped them a lot and they’re still going strong. I will say that personally, the blades were too long, especially if you bought two like me to connect them. That can be fixed with a pipe cutter though. They’re very bright and has multiple colors you can choose between. The weight is good and like I said, you can always trim the blade to get a good balance to suit you. Pretty easy to remember the settings. Highly recommend for anyone interested in buying for their first lightsaber or gifting it to someone who loves lightsabers.
