SP390001-PC Dust Collector Seal / Sanding Pad Replacement Brake Compatible with Porter Cable OEM # A26817 and Compatible with Dewalt 151553-00

Way over priced, from all sources! So it’s not an Amazon thing. You had the best price.

I don't know what this is made of, but it lasted about two minutes. I had to find a real OEM replacement to make things work.

This seal/brake fixed my dewalt model DW423 Type 1 random orbit sander. I found a site that has a list of all of the dewalt sanders that this seal/brake will fit: servicenet dot dewalt dot com slash Parts slash Detail slash 9397 (amazon doesn't like links).This seal/brake sits behind the sanding pad and when it wears out, the sander will spin at high speed after start up. A new seal/brake makes the sanding disk spin very slowly (properly).The seal/brake came in a package stamped Sanding Pad Seal SP390001-PC, made by Superior Electric.

While this part "fits". As soon as the sander gets up to speed, the little tabs that are supposed to hold it in place pop out of their seats on the housing. This allows the "brake" spin, and it doesn't do it's job of braking the sander pad. I will be returning this.

Not OEM quality, but adequate

so far so good the fit was a bit tight.

I can't really compare it to the oem one, because it shredded itself, but, it fits. I could swear the oem had more of a lip going underneath the housing, but I'm not sure. Application is a porter cable 390 low profile.

Was supposed to be a OEM replacement for Porter Cable 390K. Did not fit correctly. Melted due to moving around.
