Buy my observation, there is no difference. It looks like a 12v car radiator fan. Mine works well off a 50w , 12v solar panel.

we apologize for the confusion the only reason we said 80 watt is because our fan motor is a 80 watt motor but it can run a 100 watt panel without any problems.
