Same content as Volume 1
This book is exactly the same as Volume 1, page for page, word for word. It might be a printing error. I've mentioned this the first time I returned for replacement, and I was sent an identical copy again: same content as Volume 1, the only difference being the book cover.Fortunately Volume 3 has different content. Please contact the publisher or author.

I really like the contents of the book
I really like the contents of the book, but extremely disappointed with the layout! hence the 3 points. The layout truly spoils the fun! Each puzzle is followed by its solution in the very next page!!!? The pages are thin and transparent, which's awful for geometry-based puzzles s one can see the solution of the problem while reading the problem!! This is truly disappointing!! Another awful thing is that suppose I want to skip the current puzzle and go to the next, the solution of the skipped problem is staring at you while trying to read the next problem. I purchased the whole collection and this problem is in each and every book... Question to author/publisher.. Why not place the answers at the back of the book like normally done?

Another fine collection of puzzles
This is the second collection of logical and mathematical puzzles created by Presh Talwalkar, after Math puzzles: classic riddles in counting, geometry, probability, and game theory, and it is enjoyable just like the first one. This time the puzzles are not divided into sections, but they are collected together; there is an emphasis on combinatoric and probabilistic puzzles, in the latter case especially when they have a counterintuitive solution, and there are no "answers" but "solutions", explaining how it is possible to find them out starting by observing what happens in simpler cases. Often more than a solution is given - «A fun math sequence» for example is solved in at least three different ways. All of this shows the love of Talwalkar for maths, and his need to explain people why it is beautiful. I cannot but agree with him, and I appreciate his choice to create many problems from events happened to his life. It you get used to see the mathematical connections in what you are doing, you will soon be able to understand them better, and at the same time you'll understand math better because you are seeing it, not just pondering about it. Puzzles of this book may be eventually solved, but everyone will encounter puzzles throughout his or her life...

Amüsant aber schlecht strukturiert.
Eine ganze Reihe interessanter Rätsel durchmischt mit einigen schwachen, beinahe trivialen Puzzles. Das Buch hätte eine Überarbeitung verdient.
