Savinelli Roma 311 KS Tobacco Pipe - Black Stem

Not a bad pipe at all. Savinelli pipes are good but a little overpriced in my opinion but this is a good one.

Finally my pipe will stay lit. I couldn't get my first starter corn cob pipe to stay lit and draw nicely, I would constantly have to re-light and the experience wasn't very nice.After getting this beautiful pipe, with a generous bowl and smooth airways, I'm much more satisfied with my occasional smoke. Would definitely recommend to anyone else looking for a good pipe.

The Bad : I had noticed two small pockets on the rusticated finish that catch the skin in an uncomfortable way. This sounds a little worse than it really is, but its there.On the top of the bowl there is a slight error in the finish. A triangle shape that is more of a matt finish than the finish directly around it.The Good : It's a great smoking pipe. Even new (without a nice carbon cake built up) its a cooler smoking pipe than others I have. The 311 shape is perfect for me. Fits great in my hand and I love the fact it can sit without a stand.Verdict: For a pipe that costs less than $100 (believe I paid $85 with free shipping), it's well worth the price. It's not perfect. But the small issues I had with my pipe in my opinion are fine. A return or exchange would be a complete waste. I would recommend this pipe to either a new pipe smoker or a veteran smoker alike.Also, this pipe uses small pipe bits for the mouth piece.

First of all - it is Savinelli, so you can't go wrong. There is no "hit or miss" with their pipes, it is always "hit" :)So far this pipe is my favorite - compact, yet smokes cool, exceptionally well made and pleasant to hold and stands by itself (great feature for the slow smoker as I am). I smoke it with Virginia based slightly aromatic blends and it is absolutely awesome - cool, gurgle-free and full of flavor.

Excellent pipe, no defects nor damages, smokes very good, the bowl has very good capacity.

This is by far my favorite pipe. The size is great and compact and love the catch all and its ability to stand. So happy with it.
