EWG Verified. Great Sunscreen- does its job!
Disclaimer: No conflict of Interest. Does great job as sunscreen. It is among few sunscreens that is highest rated on safety by EWG. I did extensive research and narrowed down to this one. Why this one? Because they are older company comparing to others, have variety of sunscreens. I use it when I know for sure I am going to be exposed under hot sun for extensive periods of time. I do not use it for intermittent sun exposure , as it is greasy and can leave stains on your clothes. When I use it, I will apply it and then wait for at least 30 minutes to go out so it is not as greasy. This is the only downside. However, you will find that this is the case with all “safe” sunscreens. I have yet to find a non-greasy ,but yet minimally harmful sunscreen. All sunscreens are harmful some are more some are less. There is no such a thing as 100% non-harmful sunscreen. This is the area I have done a lot of research by reviewing extensive scientific literature. I have been searching for safe, non-greasy sunscreens all over the world, I have used every type of sunscreen available on the market. The ones that are not greasy are harmful. From what I have learned so far, 100% safe and non-greasy sunscreen does not exist as of yet. You have to choose between using very effective, greasy but minimally harmful sunscreen or using ineffective, non-greasy and very toxic sunscreen. These are the only two options available as of yet when it comes to selecting sunscreens. I am giving it five stars because this sunscreen does its job as promised and is among few sunscreens on the market that has minimal risk.

Not as bad as it's made out to be
I researched safe sunscreens for my 8 month old knowing I would take her outside a lot for the summer. With her being so young I worry about what I put on her skin. This product impressed me with the amount of information supporting the ingredients in their product. It does have a different smell, but it's not bad (and I have a sensitive sense of smell). It is greasy, but it's no big deal, and again, it's not bad. I actually like that it is oily because then I know it is on her skin, and I can see that it makes the water bead on her skin. It does go on whitish, but rubs in quickly and does not tint her skin a white color. I wouldn't care if it did because I can see where she's covered and I know the sunscreen is doing its job. As Dr. Oz said, "White is right" when it comes to safe sunscreens. My baby has a nice tan, has not burned, and has not had any bad reactions to the sunscreen on her skin. I have liberally applied the sunscreen on my baby about 10 times and still have plenty left in the tube. Just remember that it is necessary to reapply sunscreen when it has rubbed off (which happens easily with mobile children and towels when swimming) or your child has been in the water for a while. The sunscreen works beautifully when it's used correctly.

Great Product
My mom bought this for my daughter a few years ago, but I wasn't thrilled about the thickness and how difficult it was to rub in. I stuck with the cheaper, "mainstream" baby sunscreens. Since then I have become more educated and aware of the importance of using natural products. (It's not a "green" thing... It's a health thing and doing what's best for my children.) I bought this sunscreen last week and I love it. It does take a little more rubbing to get the color to fade into my daughter's face, but it's not nearly as bad as I remember. I start with less and rub it in - adding more if necessary. Even after swimming for awhile, I can tell it is still on because the water just beads up on her face. The other sunscreens seem to melt off as soon as we walk out the door. This product is awesome - for the obvious reasons of being chemical free - but also because it works. My daughter has not been burned while using it - while I went without anything and fried. (Being pregnant has changed my sensitivity to the sun!) Lastly, the smell is different from conventional sunscreens, but it smells fine to me. It smells natural - I don't know how else to describe it.I recommend this product to other moms. I know some reviews give it a low rating because of the smell or because they broke out in a rash. First, you have to decided what you care more about and make your sacrifices / compromises in the right area. I prefer health over smell or other vanity issues. My family doesn't have allergies that I'm aware of, so I can't really related to that aspect. However, I would suggest trying it and if you happen to be allergic, try something else. I don't think it's the sunscreen's fault (and shouldn't receive one star) if it's not right for your individual skin. Nothing works for everybody.Happy Summer!!

Great product
I bought this item for my four month old son when we were going on a family vacation to Florida. I had heard that using sunscreen on a baby under six months was a no-no, but I also knew that him getting a sunburn was not something I was willing to risk. He has very fair skin like me, and I burn quite easily. I researched it, and the reason why sunscreen is not advised for younger babies is because they have a much higher skin surface ratio at that age, so they can absorb more potentially hazardous chemicals used in sunscreen. A cousin of mine is a pediatric nurse and she said there are two types of sunscreen-ones with nano particles (which absorb into skin) and micro (which are large enough to not get absorbed, but rather sit on top of skin). Baby Badger was recommended by another cousin who is very much into all natural and organic products. The main ingredient is non-nano uncoated zinc oxide. It is 100% natural with 98% organic ingredients. It's Pediatrician tested, non GMO, non-nano, biodegradable, broad spectrum that is SPF 30 and water resistant for up to 40 minutes. We were able to spend about four hours at the beach in St.Pete on a 80 degree bright sunny day and he did not get burned! He was wearing just a bucket hat and a diaper. We did also keep him under a beach umbrella about half the time as well, though, just to be extra safe :)
