Excellent, But You Better Like Salt
This is a great tasting product, and I will continue to buy it. However, you will taste salt all day long after eating it.

Don't buy this soup!
TERRIBLE! Total waste of money...no crab or lobster flavor or meat. Just a runny, crappy soup. Don't know how this product has survived on the market. DON'T BUY THIS SOUP!

Bar Harbor Manhattan Chowder
Interestingly, I read the negative reviews first (as I always do), and this Manhattan chowder was mentioned as being "half water". Well, after eating 4 of the 6 cans I ordered, I can tell you without equivocation that it is NOT at all watery, like Progresso or Campbells Manhattan chowder (which are truly 50/50 water). As soon as it's opened, you can instantly see that this Bar Harbor brand is filled to the brim with veggies, an average number of clams, and a very tasty, thick broth.Only complaint is that it is slightly sweet... but that can be offset by adding some salt. Each can has 9 grams sugar, when it should have less than half that. But, the addition of a little salt offsets some of that sweetness (I prefer savory). The only Manhattan chowder that I know that is better is from our local "Lure" Restaurant in SoCal, called "Vera Cruise" clam chowder... which is absolutely the BEST we've ever tried, and much better than Lure's own Boston clam chowder (so much so that many patrons mix both together). So, as to any "canned" Manhattan chowder, Bar Harbor's is near the top, and certainly worth a try....

Not Very Good
I am originally from New England. Want to have some canned seafood/soup on hand. Can't recommend this one in Crab. Very watery. Lacking in taste. Just bland. Needed about 40 -50% more crab to bring it up to par. So I would not recommend.

Product great. Amazon packing inadequate.
This is a delicious and satisfying product. Every product I have bought from Bar Harbor has been stellar and immensely enjoyed. The only issue I had was that Amazon did not inflate the blue protective wrap inside the package. All three cans arrived with significant dents. None of the cans were penetrated, so I did not return or ask for any compensation. Just want to let the company and potential buyers know that this may need to be addressed.

Average Clam Corn Chowder at Best, Bland, Not a Whole Lot of Clams
I've seen cans of Bar Harbor Clam Corn Chowder at my local Whole Foods for a while now, and after passing it by for months, I finally got around to purchasing a can. The chowder is thick and creamy and if you find you want to make it a bit more decadent, the instructions indicate that you can add additional milk or cream, although it does not specify how much. I ended up adding half a can of milk to thin it out a bit to a consistency that I liked. While the texture of the soup was smooth, I can't say that I found this chowder to be particularly delicious. The chowder was very bland and seemed to lack any salt or spice in it. I don't generally use a lot of sodium in my diet, so it was very surprising to find something that was so lacking in salt. This was easily fixed by adding the amount of salt I like. The thing that bothered me was the lack of any other seasoning. The chowder seemed flavorless in comparison to other chowders I've tried, and it seemed to consist primarily of potatoes. The clams while decently sized were few, and that paired with the lackluster flavor didn't make the chowder all that memorable. The lack of seasonings and clams could be "fixed" using additional spices and an additional can of clams, but given this is a quick convenience food for our family, I found that it was neither quick nor convenient to have to find stuff to add to the chowder. I will say that I liked how the chowder relied on whole recognizable ingredients and didn't have any strange flavorings or stabilizers included. One thing that particularly bothered the husband was that the chowder was put in a BPA-NI lined can. I personally didn't care about this, but the husband did not like that there may be BPA and requested I no longer pick up this particular brand based on that fact. Overall, while it wasn't a terrible chowder by any means, it just wasn't good enough for me to want to purchase again.

Very tasty
I very much enjoy all of the Bar Harbor clam chowder versions, but I think the Rhode Island style is more healthful than the New England style so this is what I usually eat. Bar Harbor is the only brand I have found that tastes similar to the soup that I might get in a seafood restaurant. I have been disappointed by other brands. It is perhaps a bit pricey for canned soup, but it actually tastes good, so I consider it money well spent. It seems that the ingredients justify the cost.

C$72 for a single can of soup
I just received a SINGLE can of soup for which I had been charged C$72. It was advertised as a pack of SIX (6) on the Amazon website. Even at $12 per can, it would be a very expensive soup. At $72 for a can, it had better be the best soup I ever tasted.

具が少ない
サーモンが少なく、別に具を足した方が、サーモンチャウダーの感じがでるのでは?入っているサーモンの感じも瓶詰っぽい感じでした。
