Q: So is this a 12.7 mm as discribed in questions or is this 9.5 mm as discribed by seller?? Does it come with a faceplate or not. Picture shows one.

It is 9.5mm and comes with a faceplate. In case this is helpful, I replaced an existing drive on my Dell desktop. I was able to carefully remove the faceplate it came with (takes a bit of strong prying) and then replace it with the Dell faceplate.

Q: support Windows 7 64-bit?

Yes. Again, there a few computers that will not support Win7-64 regardless of the player you use.

Q: does it come along with extra 12.7mm faceplate?

Yes, but your computer may not want to match up with it. It is narrow enough to fit most of them, but I always move the old faceplate over. Not too difficult most of the time...two or three tabs to release...and they always seem to match up.
