CPHQ Exam Practice Questions: CPHQ Practice Tests & Review for the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality Exam 1st Edition

Just passed the real CPHQ exam with a 94% using these practice questions along with the other $10 set from Mometrix Media. My strategy was to take 25 questions at a time, then grade myself. Then REALLY research the answers. Not just the question and answer, but lookup any unfamiliar terms in every answer set. Then I did 25 more questions. I got anywhere between a 55% and 70% correct for all 140 questions in this purchase and 125 questions in other purchase. When I retook these questions, I got a 95% second time around and then got a 94% on the real exam. I actually liked the format of the kindle purchase with the answers at the back. I was tempted to cheat. I felt the quality of the answer explanations was great (for the most part).The performance improvement applied questions were the only questions on the true exam, that I didn't think were well represented here. I have been working in an community-level acute care hospital as a quality analyst for a little over a year, but my background for the past 10 years has been statistics and epidemiology. I purchased this product to assess my knowledge base and focus on the areas I need to work on in order to successfully sit for this certification. Some of the questions made think and I definitely learned to go with my first instinct…and not over think. I have realized my improvement needs and the answer section is really educational.

It's a must-have for the exam. It covers most of the important and frequent topics on the exam. The answers are simple and direct without redundancy. However, I'll enter the exam next month, and so, my review isn't exam-wise analysis !Edited..Okay.. I passed the exam with 105 out of 125 q. It's indeed a wonderful thought provoking book . No questions came exactly as those in this book, but it helps you apply difficult concepts in real life applications ( application questions are the hardest in the exam , esp in performance improvement) .It's very cheep for its contents. I changed my ranking from 4 to 5 stars.

It was good to go through some questions. I felt like the explanation of answers could have had better explanation, such as, include why an answer wasn't right as well. It did point me in a direction of what I had to look up.

This is an excellent book with 280 questions, answers, and explanations. It is informative and straight forward. Not my first Mometrix Exam Practice Questions book. I have already purchased CCM Exam Practice Questions book and passed my CCM exam on my first attempt. You won't be disappointed if you buy it and study hard, I would definitely recommend it.

It's not 80 pages, it's 74. At first I didn't even know it was in the shipping box with my other item because it is so thin and chintzy I thought it was an advertising insert. Many of the answers are not explained, but only dragged out. An expensive mistake on my part; if I didn't already use it I would return it. Oh, and it's not really a book - on the first page (called page 3?!) it says that the purchaser has "been licensed one copy of this document." I will never again buy anything from this company.

I am not new to healthcare or quality measures but I am new to the clinical side of quality measures since my background is lab. This study guide has helped me with terminology for the clinical side of healthcare that I have not been involved with. I review the questions and when I don't know what the answers mean, I take time to research each answer and then go back to the questions.

I would not use this book as my only means of preparing for the exam, but the questions were good practice anyway. I also read all of the 5 Q-Solutions books put out by NAHQ. There are new ones coming out soon, so if you are going to buy those, hold off and make sure you get the newest versions (probably out in 2018). I also reviewed the Six Sigma Memory Jogger II and The Six Sigma Way Team Fieldbook. I also purchased the CPHQ Secrets. I also received a study guide from my quality class professor, who has a CPHQ. I generally do not do well on these types of tests, but I did pass on the first attempt. I want to believe all of this preparation helped me pass, but honestly, I think it really was the many years of experience working in healthcare (8 years in a quality environment, being a Six Sigma Black Belt and facilitating projects) is really what pulled me through.
