Intensifying Primer - Intensifies & Accelerates, 8 fl.oz

I used this before I went to spray tan. Only tried it on my legs to start and I think it worked well with making the tan even and not splotchy.

I am 27, pale skinned with freckles. Struggled to tan my whole life in the sun and unfortunately in tanning beds, and due to skin issues I now can Only do self tanners. I've tried everything over the counter. I started then one year ago getting Level 1 Versa Spa spray tans at the salon - such as Palm Beach Tan locations. These tans you cannot see when you get them, they show up over the following hours after. I was using the salons own off brand of primer which being so pale you MUST use a primer before getting a spray tan. I eventually ended up buying 3 versa spa products, this primer, gradual tanning spa butter and gradual tanning face moisterizer. Buy all 3! Even if you Do Not want to get the actual spray tans, I will explain why. So for me I use these products in addition to the spray tan! The primer is perfect with getting a spray tan it helps the tan show up almost two hours faster and your skin feels amazing and just enhances it. Put it on at home well and evenly right before going to get the spray tan done. You can put it on at the salon right before getting in, I have done it many times but like doing that step at home now. The other two products I mentioned are for the next days after the spray tan to help maintain it! OR use the primer at home on your whole body including face still. Let it settle in like 15 minutes. And use the spa butter well and evenly on your whole body in circular motion but if you can relax at home don't wear tight clothes and it will take 3-4 hours to even see a difference. The thing with using this Alone and NOT getting a spray tan is you Have To do the routine again the following day and then however long to maintain a basic tan, at least 2 days!. The face product is really for only if you know the skin on your face is more sensitive, use that on your face and the spa butter on your body. But I have used the spa butter on my face multiple times. Yes allllll of this I am trying to explain is very tedious and time consuming but this all works, but I highly, highly recommend investing in Versa Spa spray tans, they offer different levels/shades and there are different Versa spa machines at different tanning salons. Just read into them on their website. But doing this is better than skin cancer, etc. Take it from me! But I get soooo many compliments on the spray tans from them and it's so natural looking I never have to go over level 1 but no matter what use a Primer before salon spray tans and home gradual tanners!!!

So, I always get hit up at my local tanning spa to try their newest incredibly expensive lotion that is supposedly 40% off today only, yadda yadda, but still is somehow $60+ and in my opinion didn't live up to the hype. This primer is AMAZING! I exfoliate and shave the night before. I usually go after work. I put this primer on and run through the tanning bed for just a few minute to open up my pores. I use a little more now than when I first started, and I make sure I put it on before the tanning bed, so it has time to sink in. I don't need as much barrier cream now on my hands and feet. I don't look like I have white trash backwoods feet with this either, HALLELULAH! My hands and feet look super tan, but normal and even, which is a feat in itself. This is my darkest most even tan I've ever gotten. I was wondering there for a while what I was doing wrong, because my tan was uneven, I'd get those ugly little dark pore spots on my legs, and it just in general wouldn't last as long. Also, it would take FOREVER to actually turn tan for me. This is so much faster and DARKER! It's worth the money to me, especially seeing how much the primers are in my tanning spa. If you're on the fence, give it a try! I'm seriously nearly translucent for part of the year, and this thing works so much magic to make me look like I'm naturally this bronze. Miracles do exist.

I purchased this after trying the designer skin prep and moisturize for double dipping. The DS broke me out and irritated my skin, so I gave this a try seeing as how it was the brand of Spray Tan Booth I use and I am very knowledgeable on the quality of Versa’s products. This gave me WAY darker results when tanning in UV bed (I do tan in the highest level, but usually get very little color) this made me almost instantly dark - thought about not even needing to spray after... but I tried the spray tan after too and that lasted almost 2 weeks. The only thing I did different for my spray tan aside from using this product was switching my regular (bath and body works body cream) lotion for daily use to HEMPZ Pomegranate lotion, so I would recommend that as a tan extender as well. All in all I am satisfied with this product. There is not much smell, no irritation, darkens and extends tans in both UV and sunless booths.

The Vera Spa Intensifying Primer I purchased on Amazon does not work at all and is a waste of money. The primer doesn't dry and leaves your skin blotchy after tanning. I used this primer twice and it ruined by spray tan both times. It's very disappointing to spend $40 on a product that is supposed to enhance your tan only to have it ruined.

A must-have in my routine. I apply it directly after my shower to really let it sink into my skin. It allows you to spray tan right after shaving without those unsightly little dots from the spray solution settling into your clean-shaven pores.Use sparingly!! You don’t need a lot, I put too much on the first time and it took forever to dry. A little goes a long way!

Applies evenly. Smells great and helped with even spray tanning. I reccommend this product.
