Not Durable / Throwaway
• I purchased this in August 2018 and used it for the ’19 and ’20 summer / fall seasons for light blowing (leaves from in front of garage door / grass from the driveway)• It stopped working about 3 weeks ago and I contacted Toro Customer Service• They said “take it to an authorized dealer so I did• Dealer told me “These are throwaways--at $85 / hour not worth taking apart—Get a Stihl since Stihl is ‘eating Toro’s lunch’ in these blowers• Contacted Toro CS again and told them dealer said it was a “throwaway”. Toro said to pack and ship (at my expense) to Phoenix (1800 miles from me) and they’d render a judgement and send me a new one if it is a warranty issue. The warranty is for 2 years.• I checked. My warranty expired 11 days before I contacted them• I watched the trash man take it away last Thursday……..

Great Blower
I love this blower! This is my second one only because the battery and charger for the first were lost in moving. It was more economical to buy the entire set than individual battery and charger. I am a 78 year old, less than 100 lbs and have no problems using this. Battery life is very good.

This is called "throwaway" equipment? What's up with that? still no answer from Toro
I bought this Toro leaf blower because I liked the one I had previously which had gone on the fritz and I was only able to use it in low. What is nice about it, is that it is battery operated, it is light and can easily be used when desired. All very nice things! So I bought the same thing so that I could use the battery on both and use the old one only in one area, and the new one when I needed more power. But now this one only operated on low as well and it is only 15 mos. old. It has a warranty for 2 years, but I must send it back to Toro for replacement. The only Toro servicer is about 1 1/2 hours away and they said it can't be fixed and that these units are called "throwaways" because they don't last long and aren't worth fixing. That's too bad!It is now August 18, 2020. I sent in the blower( just the blower for $18. postage) They never acknowledged they had received it. Sent an inquiry and they said to contact the seller (Amazon). I had called and they said if it was within the 2 year period to send it in for a replacement. I doubt I will ever receive a replacement. Have you noticed that everyone blames Covid now for incompetence? Either that, or GLOBAL WARMING.

Don't buy
I had the 51846 model and it was great for many years. It eventually died and I had to replace it. No longer available I thought this was the new model... It feels like a children's toy. It's all soft plastic, unlike the other model, and at most only 2/3 of the size. So I'm using it hunched over, like it my son's toy. Then it stops working after only 9 months. I use it a half hour to trim my backyard on average only twice a month and that half hour is split between 2 days because of the battery.

Lightweight and simple to use
This is the second unit we have purchased, the first unit having lasted 6 years. The original one still runs but after 20+ minutes of running it has started to smell "hot." So...it was time to get a new one and we decided to buy the exact same one from Toro since we've liked it so much. It is light enough for me to carry when I do yard work (I have some upper back and neck health issues.) The battery lasts about 20-25 minutes and we keep an extra one on the charger so we can switch it out and keep working. Installing or switching out the cutting string is straightforward (says this girl who was not gifted with much mechanical ability.)

Just what we needed to clear light Sycamore tree seeds dropped on our patio.
What we need for light duty and light weight. And it is relatively quiet. However probably will not clear wet leaves or spring snow off your driveway effectively. So Just what we needed to clear light Sycamore tree seeds and dry leaves which drop on our patio. Sure beats sweeping for an hour or more. The blower clears the patio in perhaps 15 minutes. So we spare our backs. Well worth the money for us. Durability and longevity? Don't know. Just got it. So far so very good.

THIS BLOWER IS JUNK AND DOES NOT HOLD A CHARGE!
Horrible!!! This blower did not hold a charge, it was a gift for our son and it has now become a huge headache! We have been trying to return it and the seller is impossible. After countless emails they have said we "can" return their defective piece of junk! When my son went to return it they wanted to charge him $50.00 to ship it back. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER! THIS SELLER GIVES AMAZON A HORRIBLE REPUTATION!

NOT a leaf blower NOT a great tool blower either
This is a very small blower not designed to be a leaf blower but rather to clean your shop or work area. Unfortunately it is very very small and oddly shaped blower. It requires an odd ball battery and charger which makes this an expensive blower when you finally find the battery and charger. Frankly I took one look at it and thought it would not be very versatile and not work very well for a larger garage or work area. I would rather have a leaf blower that plugs in or get a good quality work site blower such as a Milwaukee or Makita. Those batteries are readily available and if you actually do some sort of construction you likely already have the batteries and charger. I'd not suggest this is adequate seeing as it is so small.

The battery life is ridiculously short.
I didn't use this as a leaf blower, I planned to use it to clear dust out of hard to reach crevices in my home that got clogged with construction dust during renovation. For that purpose, it seems to work well enough but only to a point. It's also a very easy task for any blower, that even a dirt cheap corded model would do fine. The actual blowing power is sufficient for general blowing tasks like this but I would quesiton it's effectiveness for clearing leaves off of a lawn which is what I imagine most people would be after such a thing for. The biggest issue though is the battery life, I don't know if I just got a dud but on high speed (it has two speeds) it barely lasts a few minutes between having to recharge it which is a real drag. In order for me to use this to clear my property of leaves I'd spend 10 times more time charging it than I would be using it. That's a real problem.Build quality is not heavy duty, it's sufficient for the task but obviously not made to be abused. You need to charge the battery outside of the tool, like most power tools, but it seems like an unnecessary nuisance if you have only the one battery and I'd personally rather have the option of just plugging the whole tool in to charge it as a single unit.I'm on the fence about whether I'll return it at this point, the performance for what I planned to use it for is adequate but I feel it's going to really lack utility for any other tasks I might need a blower for.

Terrific quality blower
Terrific quality blower. Two levels of power and light weight. Works well blowing dust and debris out of my garage (except for cobwebs - somehow cobwebs seem to stick to whatever the spider made them on - so I still have to vacuum the cobwebs away).

Four Stars
Handy dandy little blower. I just wish the charge would last a few minutes longer.
