UV is amazing white light is a great bonus
I got this for the UV, and it is way beyond my expectations. I know Nitecore and have another light made by them and know they are quality brand. You can trust them and the specs noted on the lights (not like some other no name brands). I wanted to get a good UV lite for mineral and insect hunting, and this thing will absolutely do the job. I can light things up from about 30 feet away on UV. The bonus to this light is the white light (or is the UV the bonus...I am not sure). I was hesitant at first because of the 2 lights but this feature is very well done! This would be a great light to add to any collection. Very well built and solid light. Strong performance on both UV and White. Great interface to switch between settings and on/off tail switch. Cant go wrong with this light!!

Solid flash light but not what I’m looking for
Pro: 365nm uv light (don’t have a spectrometer, so it’s at least not the cheap purple ones you find), very bright white light (2nd mode which is 25 lumens is as bright as mine 200 lumen+ mag lite mini pro after couple years of use), multiple modes, solid constructionCons: Beams are not circular nor centered, especially the blue light, white light is yellowish not flat white, XP-G2 LED chip (hasn’t updated for at least 5 years, and the product has kept the same price), under UV mode the white light LED is not completely turned off, no built in charging port for batteries

True 365nm CHIP type UV LED
I bought this light mainly for the UV; it is the only UV light I can find in the 365nm range. There are other lights that claim this, but they are really purple, which I heard is more like 395nm as it is more visible to the human eye... and/or have more visible purple light vs true UV light.A test I use is the new $100 US bills, as any UV light easily make the yellow strip in $20 US bills glow. Most UV lights that I have looked at cannot reveal the security strip in the $100 dollar bill... you only see a very faint red strip at best. The CU-6 UV light makes this red strip really glow, and the light is not bright purple, like the cheaper "UV" lights. In general, the 385-395 nm UV LED's will be much more purple and illuminate everything in a purple bath. This 365 nm, will appear very dim until it hits something to fluoresce; then the target items glow very bright under the 3W UV LED. When I was hunting scorpions, and trying to photograph them, my iphone camera took would snap pictures of the purple 395nm without the flash, as the purple was bright. However, my iphone would use the flash on the 365nm Nitecore light on the scorpion, because there was no purple light; i had to manually turn off the flash. But in both pictures, the glowing scorpion was brighter with the Nitecore 365nm UV... the other 395nm UV light did not have as bright scorpion IMO... maybe because it caused everything around scorpion to glow purple (visible light).IF you want the best UV flashlight.. true 365nm wavelength, as well as a higher output UV LED, this is your light. Most UV flashlights use the cheap dome LEDs, while this one uses a 3W chip type LED.However the reason I gave the 4 stars is the white light is "only" 440 lumens, although I can't really tell the difference between this and an 800 lumen XML light, unless they are side by side. The XP-G2 is a little dated, but may be the best for the small reflector design, because of the added chip UV LED and red/blue/green dome LEDs. I wonder if Nitecore may upgrade with the XP-L HI LED in the future. I wonder if Nitecore could have made the reflector smaller (Klarus XT2C size) if they got rid of the red/blue/green lights, and made this only white and UV instead. Then the overall size would be a little smaller. I would prefer this as I like taking this flashlight out when I travel; I always can use a good white light flashlight, and the UV to check the cleanliness of the hotels is priceless. All in all a good flexible light that I would recommend for anyone needing a high power, true 365nm UV light.

Good tool for studying crystal stones
Few of my crystal teachers kept on talking about getting a dark light torch, so I finally found this one. So far it's been a truly amazing journey with this tool. Many crystal stones can shine in the dark light, but very few are known to crystal learners. I was lucky enough to pinpoint few of them, and demystify some of my collections. Such as finding out a stone that I originally bought as Peridot, turned out to be hyalite opal. And few of my other gem stone turned out to be completely different colors under the dark light. Opened up a truly amazing and astounding world and realm for my imaginations.

The red light is fantastic for low light areas without drawing attention to yourself
I work in various job fields and had been looking for a flashlight that meets my needs without breaking my bank. This flash light fits the bill perfectly. The red light is fantastic for low light areas without drawing attention to yourself. The blue light has been handy in picking up blood in work related incidents at night. The UV light has been handy in the checking IDs.The adjustable levels of brightness on the white light side has been handy depending on my needs, be it indoor or outdoor. The only light I haven't used so far is the green light. The strobe is fun to play with, and I have used the red/blue alteration mode as a means to alert actors and others in the building to make way as security and LEO are right behind me.My only complaint is that you have to watch where you store your light on your person. Sit wrong, and the flashlight flies right off the belt clip.

Goof flashlight, mediocre blacklight
Thoughts:PROS:* Good quality.* Uses standard batteries* Includes a clip, case, and strap!* Easy-ish to use, once you get used to the buttons.CONS:* I bought this specifically for the blacklight feature, and am not impressed. It's barely bright at all. Of course, considering it is battery powered, it will be lacking. However, compared to a regular blacklight bulb - I have a CFL and LED one - it doesn't even come close. It's odd that it has only one blacklight LED, but then two red, green, and blue. I think it would be better to have 3 blacklight and 1 of the red, blue, and green (or really, just red). I have not compared it to other blacklight flashlights, but I suspect others with more emitters would fare better.* It does not have an adjustable focus.
