I don't drink coffee but I am a daily tea drinker. I love all kinds of tea but prefer green tea.I had this kind of tea at a sushi restaurant and loved it. I found it at a local store and replaced my morning tea with it. I liked it so much I ended up drinking it throughout the day so I needed to find a way to buy it in bulk.I found the SA on Amazon and, along with good ratings, the price was right. I ordered it and had it at my doorstep very quickly.I have been drinking it for a few days now and I love it. Some green tea can be a bit too "grassy" tasting for me. The combination of matcha and toasted rice eliminate that in this tea. SA has a generous amount of both. When brewing the rice gives of a great toasty scent that flavors the tea. The matcha gives an almost creamy feel and deepens the flavor of the tea.My husband sometimes drinks tea but not as often as I do. Since I started bringing home Genmai Cha tea he has become a daily tea drinker too now.Besides being delicious, this is very good for you too. Green tea alone is filled with anti oxidants but with the added matcha you get up to 3 times more than from steeped leaves. It is said to boost metabolism, reduce cholesterol levels and reduce stress. I drink it because I love it but if these things are true then what a bonus!

I chose to buy this brand of tea based on all the reviews.. not just the top reviews or the bottom haters. When it comes to Tea, I am all over the place. As for this Tea, It has the deep earthy scent of toasted rice and when poured the rich green color and taste of grassy hills. I brew it for about 1 minute a tablespoon in a cast iron tea pot and remove the basket, savor the tea, and then get 4 or 5 more 11 ounce tea pots from the same infusion.I will admit I saved up for 3 months to buy it in bulk. And it was so worth the wait. I don't remember exactly what previous reviews led me to buy this tea, so feel free to ask me reasonable questions.Tea has a deep earthy aroma, a bright green color and taste and 1 tablespoon of it will make about 4 or 5, 11 ounce pots. Savor, smell, sip, brew more, be freakin' awesome.

The taste of this tea is excellent. I like to make my tea loose without using tea bags and this tea great for that. There are extremely few leaf steams compared to other genmaicha teas I've tried in the past. I don't like having to pick them out, so being able to make a few cups and not see one makes me very happy. It also has a stronger green tea taste than roasted rice, which I prefer. Considering how long 1.1 lbs of tea will last me, I find it to be a great deal for its high quality.

You get a pretty decent amount of tea and it should last you a while. However the quality of the tea is not so great. The matcha they add in masks the poor coloring the tea would have without it. The tea leaves are not very good quality, but for the price it's what you expect.

This tea is absolutely marvelous! Very similar in quality to Den's Tea products, which are also premium. The best feature about this tea is that it does not carry a harsh bitter taste (unless it has been steeped for too long) that some teas do and the brown rice provides a savory note that completes the subtlety of the green tea. The matcha adds the full bodied flavor. Definitely a product I will purchase more of in the future.

I was looking for a good quality genmai cha and luckily found this! It's very tasty and smooth. I have it every evening. I've tried many other brands but this has been my favorite.

This is my absolute favorite tea. I learned about it when eating at my favorite Japanese restaurant. Genmai Cha means the "General's Tea" and it has a very unique flavor that I really love.
