Q: what is the material of the pot - inside and out? does it have lead? is the handle removable? what is thickness? high quality?

Its brass, handle is wood and not removable, no lead in it. Quality is good i have 2 of this for over a year and its a good quality product. Its not very thick, pretty light.

I don't have the tools to measure it precisely but, by the feel of it, somewhere between 1 and 2 mm.

Yes no problem i do it all the time

The material is copper, and it's soldered with tin on the inside - classic for medieval copperware - hence if you stir, stir with wooden stick only, and when washing this, handwash only, no acidic cleaners, etc. Once tin is scratched/gone, resoldering it with food grade tin would be pretty much impossible, so you'd have to junk it to avoid copper poisoning.
