Totally worth it
Knife is in my top 10. Totally worth the price too. Surprised it's not mentioned as a premium knife. These knives I believe are issued to the Spanish military. I'm not too sure so don't quote me on that lmao. But yeah. Superior quality. One item to definitely carry on you for a camping trip

Wanted one for a while, it is not bad, but bittersweet
A few years back I had a Chinese copy of this knife. I liked the feel of the handle and the blade design. Even my Chinese one was fairly durable. Well the steel was. The pin that held the blade to the handle failed on that one.Doing the math, I realized that I could get this and a JK II for about the price of a JK 1. I had wanted this knife badly enough that I almost ordered one from Australia, and was thus glad to see these on Amazon. The blade was not as sharp upon arrival as the JK2, and that was not all that sharp. This knife makes a good chopped, I have hacked away on a hardwood log with it.The sheath does not have the slingshot and such of the JK2. It does have four spaces that you can store ammo, matches etc in, a cord wrap and a sharpening stone. As usual it is not paracord and paracord does not fit the holes well. Knot the cords on the leg tie down snap thing btw.The metal of the blade will mess with the compass. The lanyard already on the knife is nice.I would add matches to the survival capsule. There really ought be a ferro rod on the sheath and not just in the capsule. You can tape additional stuff to the sheath.I like how this fits my hand. I wonder if a threaded screw through the roll pin would be more solid. But it has held up rock solid as is so far.I think I will have to have it professionally sharpened. There are no directions, no features list....nothing.The lanyard hole is through the handle. Some people like one through the compass cap so as not to lose it. But this arrangement lets you remove the compass while you chop away and still have a lanyard. The cartridge slots on the sheath were, I think, years ago meant for small flares. They are limited in terms of what calibers they would fit.Honestly....I would like to see a Jungle King IV...this blade and handle, the JK series sheath features, fero rod on sheath etc. Shrug.I maybe ought have bought something else. But....I wanted this for a long time and it does have a nice feel to it. I wish that I liked it more.

I don't have this knife, but just wanted to add that it is a featured weapon on the Steven Spielberg Television series Terra Nova.
