MehronMakeup Special Effects Powder (2.3 Ounce) (Texas Dirt)

The container is much larger than I expected...far more than I'll ever use for makeup application alone, but it'll also get used for distressing costumes and props (it'll make a nice addition to using Fullers Earth powder).A little goes a long way. I mixed some into the Mehron mixing liquid to create a slurry to aid in spreading it around. Works well and you get alot of coverage using a very small amount.Seriously, unless you're dressing an entire army of extras for a film shoot, this container will outlast your life.Good stuff.

This powder is very easy to apply and it spreads very easily on the skin. Be sure to use a brush because it does smear and it will mess up your makeup if you’re trying to do a special look. I recommend a small eye brush as a little goes a very long way. This powder works very well for the skin and lips. It is easily enough to remove with makeup wipes, but like any black makeup it does leave a little bit of residue if you don’t scrub good. Overall it’s very worth the price as it comes in a large container that will last me a lifetime lol.

This stuff is incredible. Love to use it to cover large areas. It is messy and will get everywhere! Amazing coverage though. I use it mainly on my neck and around my eyes.

As other reviews stated it is messy. I put mine on in the shower to play it safe. I used it to create Steampunk dirty goggle marks, and all around dirty faces. You would think the steampunk outfits would have given it away, but it was so effective my M-I-L asked what had happened to us. In her defense the night before, there was an actual 5 alarm fire, that made the national news, about two blocks away from the picture's location tags.

A little goes a long way - I bought the larger container as I wasn't sure how much I'd need. It's going to last me forever. This stuff will outlive me, I think. Smudges easily once it's on and will transfer, but a good spritz of setting spray will help keep it in place. Other than that, worked for it's intended purposes, and I'll be using it for a long while!

I feel like using this powder as a "dirt" look is wonderful! Much better than the various shades of brown that I've tried, which always ended up making me look like I just had a really bad tan. This powder, when applied lightly and sporadically looks very much like real dirt and added some depth to my various costumes. The biggest problem with this stuff is it will get EVERYWHERE. And it is difficult to remove from sinks and counters without using soap and water. If you don't have to time clean up the area after applying this, then you may want to try something else.

Works amazingly well but be warned- the slightest breeze will get this stuff EVERYWHERE! We used it on a film shoot outdoors (because that's where the shoot was) and a little wind came and blew this all over the place. However it works great and looks fantastic!

This stuff really does go a long way, it works great in adding a bit of shadow under my beard where it's not as dense and my pale white skin shows but with this product it's incredible what a tiny amount of darkening can do to bring a beard to life.Highly recommend the company rebrand this product as a "beard shader" as this could blow up in the new era of beard care productsI did however recive a smaller size then what I had paid for. But a little does go a long way so it will be some time before I use up the container I have.
