Another quality T-H marine battery tray. The mounting legs are sturdy. As expected, you need to provide the mounting hardware yourself. The retension strap is just OK. T-H marine makes a stainless-steel pivoting strap that tightens and holds the battery much better in marine applications. However, I was not able to find that strap design. The strap that comes with this tray has a plastic buckle arrangement; you need to use a wedge under the strap to make it tight. Not the best approach.

Purchased new Group 27 battery for the boat, old T-H marine battery tray was too big (group 31)... so I ordered this one since old one was same brand and seemed to work fine over the years. Arrived and found no hardware was included. Was prepared for that, but would be nice to have appropriate hardware included, for the price. After installing new tray, I mounted new battery with the included strap, only to find the tray is larger than battery footprint. What this means is that even with strap tightened down (preventing up and down movement of battery on tray), the battery shifts around inside of the tray when under motion. I ended up cutting some wood shims to fit in there for now to help prevent the battery from jostling around in the tray. Slightly disappointed not a better fit, since it is supposed to be for group 27 battery. Size is standardized, so not sure what’s up with that. Anyway, it works, but thought I’d mention for those of you considering this tray.
