Great product!
My MS Surface typepad suddenly stopped working due to a hardware failure of some sort. After trying everything (reinstalling windows, etc.) it seemed I no other choice but to send back my 4 year old Surface back to Microsoft for a $400 fix. That seemed a bit absurd, so I took a shot at this keyboard. So far, works great and has the added benefit of not needing to be attached to the screen to work!

Stopped working 5.5 months after, not charging and no Bluetooth connection
I bought it as a replacement and while the battery life of it seems suspiciously short I was not worried as I am plugged in most of the time. Then it stopped charging (worked cable linked only) and now it does not link Bluetooth either so basically it is a paper weight for 50 dollars. Tired to reset it, to link it to other machines for troubleshooting, linked my neighbor keyboard to verify its not the machine problem. Long story short - a defect at the bare minimum, or more likely a non reliable product . Not a good purchase

Needs a power source
I didn’t know the keyboard requires a power source. It is annoying to have to turn it on and off. I bought this to replace the one that came with my surface pro that turned on when I turned on the computer.

Worked well on Surface Pro 7
My original keyboard stopped working and this replacement works really well. It connected via bluetooth easily and holds charge well. I have used it for over a week without needing a charge yet. The magnets secure it just like the original and clicks into the screen snugly. The mouse pad does seem very sensitive so I am hoping I will get used to that.

Really expected to have the same keys as were on the original keyboard
Really did not like have ANOTHER thing that needs to be charged up and will not automatically come on when I turn on the laptop! No longer have the screen capture key as Function 7, instead it is function Del and instead of going directly to a rectangle, you must choose rectangle. I did not see anything about these changes in the description.

This thing is awesome
The media could not be loaded. Quality is 5 star looks WAYY better than the original and HAS BLUETOOTH AND A USB C connection. I feel like I just got a Christmas gift lol. If you are still using the original keyboard dump it and upgrade to this.

Didn’t keep a battery charge when opened new
Arrived on time. Tablet was dead which was fine. Came with a USB-C charger so I charged it. The Power buttons are so tiny and not visible (near the keypad on the far right next to the LED indicator lights. Waited as instructions stated until battery light turned blue. Soon as I hooked it up and turned on the keypad and began the steps to hook up Bluetooth batter turned red and died. Also WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE KEYPAD!!!! Bluetooth setting doesn’t even know what the name is so couldn’t hook it up and the instructions doesn’t say either. Just says to do what it says and hook it up what the heck!? Price was right for the what it did but didn’t work at all. Hope your keyboard you got does t do what mine did. Good luck and I do NOT recommend this sorry it’s my honest review. If anything it only looks really nice.

Too sensitive.
It could be simpler to turn on, you have to press the power button twice or hold it down to get it to come on, battery life is great. The biggest problem is the touch pad. When using one finger for the curser in the down direction minimizes the page you are on, so I find my self having to swipe left or right then down to avoid it from doing that, that one issue makes this product extremely frustrating and not worth the purchase.
