Delicious!
I would usually be very cynical about the type of language used in the text for this perfume, but I find I have to agree with them on this occasion! This is a delightful fragrance that smells nice on me, but utterly delicious on my wife. It really does smell very different on each of us. On me, the citrus notes are more noticeable, whereas on my wife's skin, the bergamot is the uppermost scent. My wife has three or four perfumes that she loves and is very choosey about scent, but she has added this to her collection with pleasure. She finds the scent quite subtle but very calming, with a clean, slightly floral, feminine note above a more earthy underlying herbal note.Yes this is pricey, but it is the same price as her favourite perfumes - just a less well known brand to us at present. We both think it's lovely and I will be buying it in future as it has been a big hit with my wife and I love how it smells on her.

Conjured up a memory
What's good:Strong fragranceGood staying-powerWhat's not so good:Reminded me of a relativeExpensiveThis is my second Miller Harris fragrance I've tried, and whilst the other one was relatively unique, this one triggered a memory of a visiting relative from my childhood. I couldn't quite remember who, or exactly what it is about the fragrance that caused the reaction. Perhaps it's the bergamot? Given that as the case, I can't help but associate it with the past, so to me it doesn't trigger any of the fluffy marketing spiel that they put with fragrances. On the plus side, the fragrance is strong and being a EDP as opposed to an EDT you should require less of it in use, and it has more staying-power. That being said, I do think pricing it up there in Chanel territory without being as established a name is risky - and being associated with a former British Prime Minister's wife and an American First Lady don't exactly carry any weight with me either.Buying a fragrance is always going to be a very personal thing. For me, this is not going to be a winner due to my memory recall, but if you get a chance to try it in a store, you might find the fragrance distinctive and suitable for you.Comment Comment | Permalink

A fresh, invigorating scent
Top notes are distinctly citrus and bergamot, which gives it an immediate liveliness. It settles to a middle and lasting base note that is predominantly vanilla, but retains hints of lemon. I don’t fully get the marine vibe that the brand claims from this scent, but there’s a definite freshness overall, so I guess it’s not beyond imagination. The fruitiness of the blend makes it something of a younger choice.Being a parfum it does have very good longevity. I’ve detected the scent in the evening, having applied just a few sprays in the early morning. It achieves this staying power without ever being overpowering in the first instance, which is a rare, valuable attribute.
