Berkley Big Game Casting Fishing Rod

I use these rods on a weekly basis. I put spider wire on them and they cast and reel with no problems. I caught a 15lb catfish and it barely bent the pole. Very sturdy & reliable. I bought 2 of these and may need 2 more.

Very affordable fishing rod for some heavy fishing. I fitted it with an older Penn 309 reel. Taking it out for some ocean fishing soon. 🛥️ 🎣 🌊

Grandsons cast baited hooks past the river channel edge, set a couple of these Berkley Big Game fishing rods in dockside rod holders, and listen for bites while they dive, horseplay, and kayak nearby. We rigged the rods with Zebco 808 size 80 spincast reels. The rod and reel combos are manageable by a healthy six-year-old boy and easily handle the 4- to 12-pound channel catfish we take from Fort Loudon Lake. They're stout enough that they could probably haul in 75-pound cats with no trouble. If we head for the Gulf for some pier-fishing, we're all set!

This Berkley pole is a good medium bait casting rod, the ferules seem to crack in a short time of use causing nicks and damage to the line. I give it a 7 out of 10 rating.

Actualización: Una vez solicitado el reemplazo, recibí la caña completa y tiene una excelente proporción calidad-precio. Excelente caña. Por eso modifique mi calificación de una a cinco estrellas.

Escelente caña de 2 pcs facil de transportar, la uso con carretes penn level wind 9 y 209 para pesca de orilla en playa, me ha dado muy buenos lances y resultados, la recomiendo.
