I decided to make a guitar foot pedal from a kit which required a lot of soldering on a circuit board. As an experienced solderer, I found this tool invaluable in holding the circuit board so I could use both hands for the solder iron and solder. I've also used it to repair guitar cords and other items. It's like a second pair of hands. Worth the money all day long!!

It holds my PCB like a champ. The magnifying glass is great, really helps to see the smaller leads.

I always struggled finding ways to hold my joints together - usually on autos or motorcycles and found it hard to get good joints. Then I tried these helping hands and they are a game changer. The fact that all 4 arms can be attached separately to any magnetic surface makes it easy to hold wires in the right position. My only 2 complaints are pretty minor, and both to do with positioning the arms. First is that the arms won't fold over on themselves very tightly, so it's harder to mount an arm to the top of a surface and loop around to hold a wire from the top side & near the base of the arm. They work better in relatively straight orientations. The second is that the clamps are threaded into the end of each arm and they like to come loose when I'm trying to orient my wires.

It comes in a nice compact box. The weight of the stand is great for small electronics, but will topple for heavier items like glasses. It's easy to use and has strong clasps. Stays still and stiff when you need it to due to its twist tight grips. Very adjustable and looks great. The magnifying glass works like a charm!

Not bad, not great. It gets the job done but you'll spend far longer than you wanted to adjusting arms to have them move again once you let go.
