I have a drawer full of Snap-on, Mac, and Matco carbon and stainless scrapers. These super scrapers have done away with me using pretty much any of the others. Have to be careful with aluminum blocks, heads, and casings, but it is theeee best scraper hands down. cleaning water pump mating surfaces are now actually fun instead of a curse-storm. Even the most petrified gaskets are no match.

This is the perfect tool for a professional mechanic. I’ve been in the field 20 years and wish I had known about this tool sooner. It gets it done! Forward and back! It saves so much time cleaning gasket material, silicone, what ever really. It was recommended my my machinist after he gave us crap about our “prep/ rollock “ discs. Doesn’t leave a ton of material everywhere like the die grinder. It’s nice die head jobs too.

These things are sharp. Great for cleaning gasket and gunk from to joining metal surfaces like a thermostat.Caution: It will dig into aluminum very easily so work with a light touch. The tip will last for a very long time. I am guessing you kid will have it in their tool box long after you are gone.

This is a scraper like no other. If you do engine work... you need this. If you have to scrape on a precision surface... you need this. Be careful tho it is very HARD and SHARP. Came with paperwork that says they will resharpen it for FREE. USA MADE.

Very good scraper. As others mention, it works best when pulled towards the user. Also, the angle of attack must be very steep, above 45*, compared to most push style scrapers which work best with their edge almost parallel to the work piece.

This was my first time using a carbide scraper. Works much much better than the razor blade gasket scraper I used to use or the sanding disc on my angle grinder

Excellent Product, Makes gasket changes a breeze. I've used this for automotive work for cleaning gaskets when doing water pumps, trans pans and etc. Its is AWESOME! I originally learned about it from Eric O. @ South Main Auto in NY on YouTube. It's worth every penny!

Simply put the best scraper you will ever own for automotive work.

Though I am no longer a mechanic, I wish that I'd had one of these when I was. Works way better than a razor blade on smooth surfaces.
