My 3.5 yo loves getting 4 of these per bath and seeing what animal/object he gets. It makes bath time more fun. Plus he can then pretend to catch them with a net, or fish for them. It's fun to watch what he comes up with. They take a while to dissolve, and my kiddo tends to rub them open rather than waiting.

My mom got my 3-year-old son a little 9 pack of these safari animals from the dollar store or something, and he loved them. Unfortunately, there were 12 possible animals on the back of the package, and only 9 mystery capsules. For some reason, my kid latched on to the ostrich as THE ONE THAT HE JUST HAD TO HAVE, but of course, that's the one of the 3 he did not get. After weeks of listening to him ask for his ostrich, I finally just bought a 6-pack assortment to take another shot at the ostrich. Thankfully, these packs include 12 capsules, so the risk seemed minimal. Had a brief panic when one of the safari capsules turned into an unexpected manta ray, but in the end he got tiny sponge ostrich and his life was complete. Yay! Now we can all move on with our lives! My son plays with these in the tub, and I'm saving the rest of the capsule packs for when the safari ones get gross. I'm not sure why people are so angry about the quality or that they take too long to open. They are tiny, flimsy, sponge animals crammed into a <1-inch gelatin capsules--we should all know that going in and temper our expectations accordingly. They are cute and fun for little kids. The fastest way that I found to open them is to drop them in a cup that's wet, but has no water in it. Then pour hot water on top. They stick to the bottom of the cup, which fully submerges the capsule, and the sponge wants to float, so it will dislodge itself quicker. Some animals take longer to open than others. Maybe someone could do a 3rd grade science project on why that is.

My grandsons had a great time watching these water capsules dissolve and sponges grow into critters and vehicles! I recommend that you use warm water, as tolerated, to dissolve the plastic capsules.

These were a huge hit with our child. We used them as a bribe to get her into the bathtub and she was always excited to see what shape formed at the end of bath time. I would be careful with these around younger children as they absolutely cannot go into their mouths - Always keep track of the capsules. Also I found it helpful to dissolve them in a separate container with very warm water that I kept at the side of the tub. This allowed me to scoop out the little plastic remnants of the capsule before giving the sponge to my child. I will say that the colors of each animal don’t always match what’s on the back of the packaging but that didn’t bother us. Overall I really liked these and would buy them again.

These are just fun, and none of them disappointed.

Kids love them , They Take 5 mins or so to come out , Not instant

I use these little guys to put in homemade bath bombs. The kids love having a bath with bath bombs and putting one of these inside is an added excitement for them. They grow well, seem to stand up well to all the baths they go thru. Only wish they had more characters

The product is good and the kids really enjoy watching them expand. The only problem I have is, they advertise 6 different, but when you get them you get 6 packs but only two kinds. A little disappointed for me and the kids.

I got 1 bug buddies, 1 sea creature and 4 zoo animals but no dinosaurs, no farm animals and no vehicles

Overall, I like the product, however all of the 5 packs were of the underwayer creatures. Ultimately, not a big deal as my kids love them regardless, but I was under the impression that they would not all be the same.
