FultonXP15L 0101 Swivel Trailer Tongue Jack with 8" Wheel - 1500 Lbs. Capacity

Much nicer than the stock jack that came with my 2022 Trailstar. Easy install.

I was replacing a 1200 pound Jack that went bad. This is the only model that would fit and it did so and was easy to install.

I needed to replace the Fulton brand 1200 lb. tongue jacket on my boat trailer. My existing jack was a bolt on to a welded bracket on the trailer and everything offered on Amazon was never going to be an exact bolt on replacement from what I could determine for sure. I decided to upgrade to the 1500 lb. capacity jacket just because and therefore could not be sure it would be a direct bolt on either. Anyway, the jack arrived and does require some assembly, that can be done once the main piece is installed (recommended) or before installing. It is heavy so waiting to assemble makes it a bit easier to handle. I found the bolt pattern required me to slightly enlarge 2 holes to allow the bolts to line up, the mounting plate has sufficient material allowing me to drill 2 knew mounting holes to complete the installation. I am pleased with the new jack despite having to alter it slightly to allow for a bolt on installation. It may require some work to install but it's worth it. It does come with mounting hardware that should make it easier but my application had a welded on mounting bracket I decided to use to maintain overall appearance.

My original trailer jack lost the handle so I purchased a replacement unit. This will handle much more than I will use it for. Seems to be good quality as was the original, the large wheel makes it easy to move the boat trailer, I like the zerk fitting to add grease. I would like to have seen an addition of something to hold the handle against the body of the jack when the jack is folded up for traveling so the handle is not hanging down but a bungy strap or hook and loop will do the trick.Overall a good unit so far.

This was supposed to be a direct replacement for my obsolete jack that was mounted on my enclosed snowmobile trailer. The description states FITS up to a 3"x5" frame. I have a 2"x 5" frame, the bolts are long enough to fit a 3" thick rail but this jacks swivel mount falls 1" short! This will not fit a 5" thick frame, 4”the most. The 2 mounting back plates that come with this jack are 6" long and they will accept the bolts that go over and under the 5" rail but the mounting swivel plate is 5" in height and does NOT clear the top and bottom to put the mounting hardware through. Silly design so trust me this will not work on any trailer over 4" thick frame rails. Returned promptly. Called the link provided which ended up being Draw Tite hitches, had me on hold for 10 minutes and never came back so I returned it. Next....

I had to replace the Jack on my boat, as the handle stopped working.I was leery of the this jack being able to support the trailer, since it's a bolt on, not welded like the original.Surprisingly, everything went very well. I added the new jack just slightly forward of the old, then removed the old and hoped everything would hold.Now that's it's installed, it's been very sturdy, and raising and lowering the trailer has never been easier.
