Got tired of buying a new pool thermometer every year! It's a pain to thread the line through the overflow vent and sitting in chlorinated water for 12 months degrades these products. This one doesn't sit in the pool: using the string, just dip it in the water to get an instant reading. Anyone who reports they can't read this one, needs to put on their glasses! It's a large thermometer with large numbers and a large glass (?) thermometer that is quick and easy to read. If a floating alligator or duck is a 'must have'...this one isn't for you.

The product is great, it reads easily, has big print and I don't need my glasses to read it, which is convenient as I don't wear my glasses in the pool. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars is because the string broke after only 1 month and the thermometer dropped to the bottom of the pool. I have had to replace the "rope" on both of the units I purchased. Other than replacing the rope, it works great.

quality material, right size, but hard to read, keeps "glitching" with a "blue" line both in- and out of sunlight,and why is there a short cord?

Does stay underwater tied to the ladder. But reading the temperature is not easy. Need to turn back and forth to catch the red temperature indicator.

The thermometer works fine. I like being able to attach a fishing line (which will last for years) rather than the show lace it comes with will, at best) last a season.

It does its work. And much cheaper than the hayward one. Used it for more than 1 year now. No complaint.

Works as expected. Precise thermometer, shows the same temperature as my salt pool unit. Didn't break after three months, so I consider it a winner.

We use this to check the temperature of the water in our lake. Works great!

This thermometer is heavy enough that it won’t float at the surface of the water. The gauge has large print numbers so I don’t need my glasses in order to read the temperature.

This is easy to read, well made and attaches to a ladder very easily. I'm very happy with this purchase.
