I do not regret this purchase at all! Every day I appreciate the convenience this brings to my home! Unpacking was a piece of cake. and it was pretty much ready out of the box. I ran a few cycles of plain water (and not my good filtered water) to get the "plastic" taste to wear off. then i started using my "good" water jugs. the hot comes out piping hot and the cold is cold! I love that it is bottom loading! No need to be lifting those heavy 5 gallon jugs anymore! The water pours out fast! I can fill my 40oz water bottle in seconds. it blends perfectly with my kitchen decor as well and has a small footprint especially since i am in an apartment and have limited space! I have had no issues with it whatsoever. changing the water jug is easy and i love the night light for those middle of the night water runs. and i also love the red light that pops on to alert that the water jug is near empty. I will say that when the tanks are in the heating or cooling stage it does make a humming noise that may be loud to some people. but for me i don't mind it because i already have a deep freezer and air purifier making noise so it just blends in as white noise to me.

Hot– Heats up quick. From room temperature to scalding in about 10 minutes. A ‘how hot?’ temperature dial would be preferred. [Perhaps for the next-level-up version, rather than this: the basic model?] As default-set, I need to wait 10 minutes for my tea to cool enough to drink. Using a kettle, I do not let it get that hot: do not want to burn my tea-leaves. Cold– Yeah, it is cold. But, I don't like cold water. So I never turn on Cold, unless I am expecting guests who might prefer that. [Which I then shut everything off again when they've gone.] Perhaps it is a bit too cold? Perhaps a ‘how cold?’ dial would be pertinent, for the next-level-up version? Again, I am not expecting perfection/exceptional at the cost of ‘cheapest available.’ Temperature Conflict– All the internal tanks are interconnected within the fountain. [They all drain into Cold: but perhaps that's just the slope of my floor dripping it that direction, when powered off?] So, if Hot is left on long enough (3+ hours), the heat starts seeping over into Cool and Cold. Hot left always-on requires Cold to then be always-on too: lest you want your Cool to be warm, and your Cold to be tepid. [Leave it to engineers to expect end-users to turn (and leave) everything on, as the only way for it to work ‘properly.’] So then I must question whether that means Hot and Cold are constantly fighting over temperature, the battleground being within Cool, wasting how much electricity? Noise– I keep the entire thing Powered Off most of the time, preferring my drinking water at room temperature. I have the fountain wired to a switch, turn it on only when the water is running low, to prevent hearing the pump run every time I get a drink. It is not terribly loud, but unnecessary to hear. As it stands, given the volume of water the internal tanks store, I only need to power on the pump every third day or so for my drinking water. [Takes 90-120 seconds to refill.] If left on, there's always a high-pitched ‘eeeee’ noise. I suspect that would be the pump keeping itself primed. In a busy house or office nobody would hear it, but here alone in the woods, where one can hear everything, the sound grates on the nerves. Potential Problem– This fountain keeps pumping nothing, does not auto-shut-off, when the water-bottle runs out. The longest I left it ‘huffing air’ was 20 minutes, just to see if it would stop, as I didn't want to burn out the motor. So, what happens if you get a drink on the way out the door in the morning and thereby it runs out of water? Will it keep pumping nothing all day? I suspect that would kill it. Overall– Excellent. Looks classy. Works well for what it was designed. Five Stars. Would buy again, recommend to others.

I am so delighted with my Avalon Water Dispenser! I was tired of purchasing plastic water bottles and needed a better solution for drinking water in my home. I have been shopping around for the right water system and decided to purchase this one. It has been one of the best decisions made since moving in. Here are some of the benefits I am able to experience from my water dispenser. It has 3 water temperatures to select from: Hot, cool, and cold. the cold water is nice when you want to have ice cold water and the cool is more of a chilled temperature. I originally thought it would be room temperature, however it is chilled. I especially like the safety feature of the hot water. I have god children that visit and I can easily turn off use of the hot water feature from the back of the dispenser when they come over. The dispenser boast several additional features that I enjoy like a night light which turns on easily from the back left side. I utilized this just last night as I got up to get a glass of water and didn't have to turn on any lights to do so. Other features I like is of course the bottom loading water feature, which eliminates any chance of accidental spills and heavy lifting. I was able to easily do it on my own with very little effort. For the water dispenser to do so much with regard to different temperatures, it is very quiet. One of the best features is just how easy it was to start using it straight from the box. I only had to position it, place the drip tray in position, add my filled 5 gallon water bottle and plug it in. As a bonus the drip tray has a red floater ring in the middle that will serve as your guide when there is too much water and time to empty it. A totally useful low tech solution I like! Special note for hot and cold water is to turn the switch in the back right side to the on position which is in the “I” position not the “O” position. It takes no time at all to start enjoying both the hot and cold water. Here is another special note: When you switch on the hot water button in the back, you will see a green light in the front. That means the water is not ready and when the light is gone, you are ready to enjoy your hot water. I point that out because I thought it was a little confusing to not see the light as a way to know it is now ready. One thing to note that some may be wandering is that it does not come with a water bottle. The dispenser can support either a 3 or 5 gallon water bottle. I decided to go big and use a 5 gallon. I recommend having a spare on hand for easy refills without interruptions. I highly recommend The Avalon water dispenser and know you will too.

I purchased an Avalon A4BLWTRCLR Bottom Loading Water Cooler Water Dispenser in 2021 or 2022 and have been using it regularly since then. Unfortunately, for the past two to three years, the unit has been repeatedly tripping the circuit breaker in my home, sometimes as often as every other day. To rule out any issues with the electrical supply, I tested the dispenser using multiple outlets and circuits throughout the house, but the same problem continues to occur. Based on this troubleshooting, I am concerned that the dispenser may have developed an internal electrical fault or other defect. In addition to being extremely inconvenient, the repeated breaker trips raise serious concerns about the safety and reliability of the unit. What makes this experience even more disappointing is the response I received from Avalon customer service. When I contacted them for assistance, my concerns about the electrical issue were not properly addressed. Instead of investigating the problem or offering meaningful support, they attempted to sell me a new unit. Given the potential safety implications of a product that repeatedly trips circuit breakers, I expected much better customer service and a genuine effort to resolve the issue. Overall, I am very disappointed with both the product and the customer support experience. A water dispenser should not repeatedly trip breakers, and a company should stand behind its products when customers report potential safety concerns. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product. DO NOT BUY THEIR UNIT.

Four stars was given because it only lasted 2 years before it broke down- the cold water dispenser stopped working out of the blue. I purchased a second one because of the reasonable price, and it worked well for the 2 years that we had it. However, if it breaks down again, I most likely will NOT buy another one. Easy to install, temperatures are as expected, and it isn’t too noisy when cooling the water when it’s not in use.

We’ve been wanting one for our house to help drink more water for awhile, set up was easy. However, DONT PLUG IT IN RIGHT AWAY! ours came and it was upside down..oops! Just like a fridge it needs to sit 24-48 hours for the compressor. Let it sit 3-4 days, amazing cold water! We haven’t tried the hot yet. It was small enough to fit in my cramped kitchen with no issues though, not super bulky or heavy. Makes it easy to put in your house. No leaks so far but we shall see as we go!! But pro tip! Don’t plug it in right away!! Let it sit!! Welp here we are a few months later and so far this has been the best thing ever. My son has been drinking water like it’s life of death! Ramen and tea is super easy, I make cold brew instant in the morning for work and he makes flavored water for school and no fighting over ice or anything💜 best investment ever!

We were paying a company to lease a unit and deliver 5 gallon water jugs to our house. Like most things, price kept going up n up. Bought this unit and now refill the jugs at a local grocer. Payed for itself within 6 months. Packed great so no worries about damage. Shipped quickly. Easy to setup. Priced very competitively.

I switched over to buying one of these machines and 5 gallon jugs of water from buying cases of bottles from costco. They stop selling my brand so I thought I would pivot over to this and eliminate the plastic bottles all together as well as going to get water. It had the easiest setup of just about anything I can remember. The Box comes off of it and you just lift it out of the base of the box and put a filter in and plug it in. Water was ice cold and the hot water was very hot in about an hour. It's even got an ambient light switch to provide a little guidance in the darkness. The machine did not have any kind of funny taste even brand new which I know is a problem with some machines. I would very much recommend this machine to anybody looking for one of them. The water company wants you to lease a machine that's basically exactly the same but cost you $35 a year more than just buying this one. Added a three year warranty to it to insure it lasts at least that long.

Water doesn't cool, only hot and room. Hot is very hot which is great. Sent it for repairs and was told it's a compressor issue which is another AED 650 all in all. Really nice water cooler, sad that it doesn't actually cool water.

This works well, the hot is hot, the cold is cold, and the bottom loading aspect is perfect 👌 I did notice it was fairly noisy when cooling (i was expecting that based on other reviews mentioning it made some noise) but in a matter of minutes I was able to find the source of the rattling sound and was able to stop it with a piece of the packing material from inside the coolers shipping box. The cold water reservoir is wrapped in Styrofoam (as expected) and when the cooling motor was running there was a slight vibration of the reservoir which caused the Styrofoam to rub ever so gently on the chassis. So, with the 'top' panel removed i placed a 1/4 inch thickness of the blue foam from the packing box right on top of the Styrofoam reservoir housing and put the top back on. It required a bit of pressure to reclose the top, but that tiny bit of pressure was just enough to prevent the reservoir from moving during cooling and completely eliminated the vibrating noise... No complaints, the only time I 'know' its running now is when it makes a tiny click when the heating or cooling cycle starts... its quieter than my fridge or deep freeze by a long shot. Would buy again!

Received with wrong power supply 110V/60hz which is not suitable for Europe! Quality looks good in general and customer service team are very good.
