After being plagued with "higher end" XLR interfaces that in next-to-no time quickly were giving out and would require frequent unplugs and replugs, this interface was a breath of fresh air after about 2 years of service with no issue. No software needed which makes this friendly for just not Windows but Mac and Linux as well, unfortunately still needs USB type-B cable rather than USB-C, oh well. Another pain point of others was audio latency. Fortunately, between both the microphone monitoring and PC-to-headphone latency, I'm happy to report that there was very little compared to the others that I had tried. Probably not the best compared to a direct sound card through a PCI slot, but still very usable. For audiophiles using their interface for running headphones off of: The interface is only rated for 50 Ohms, but I get plenty of volume on 64 and 128 Ohm headphones without sacrificing quality at about 8.5 on the output volume dial, with enough headroom to go to 9 if I need for a rather significant boost to volume, after which then above 9 gets pretty bad. It's fine for about 99.9% of people, just not the crazed audiophiles. It's a very no-nonsense, budget-friendly interface. My only chief complaint is using USB-B rather than USB-C, but otherwise this is very usable for the average PC setup enthusiast and content creator.

Being an electronic musician that samples and records music from consumer electronics, I needed a strong device that allowed me to capture clean audio from an aux source. I thought this would be hassle free but there was nothing in the description that the line in was mono only. So that's why only the three stars. Yes the audio coming from my computer is clean and loud. But to capture stereo I now have to use a splitter for the left and right channels which obviously are for input 1 and 2 which kills the idea of hooking a mic and a synth up to it unless I capture in mono. I didn't have the cables or plugs so that was an added $18 expense which I should get tomorrow thanks to amazon. I'm sure the included software is good but you have to register the product first, which requires reading the serial number from the bottom of the device. I find it odd that there was no QR code, but that's fine. So I downloaded the software but have yet to unzip and activate them because I make myown loops and already have two DAWS. I'm sure they are good but totally pointless for me. The six month Reason subscription seems kinda Sweet but once again, don't need it. I may revise this review if the quality is insufficient after finishing setup but I feel pretty confidant this will be a strong addition to my music making toybox. ------------------------------------------------------------ Addendum ------------------------------------------------------------ I've revised this review to include an extra star after acquiring the necessary cable to patch left and right to each input on the front from an AUX output. The signal is clean and strong and my DAW immediately picked up the two channels and panned accordingly. This is a great interface for bloggers who have a nice microphone but remember, if you want to capture in stereo you have to have those extra cables which I got for about $18 here on Amazon. The better quality cables with the braided insulation are ideal if you're a serious musician. I also forgot to mention I like the idea the unit is completely USB powered. No need to look for an open spot on your power strip.

Purchased as a USB PC interface using custom FFT & spectrum software with calibrated microphone. Loudspeaker to room acoustics system tuning. The Solo Works flawlessly at a bargain price !!!!

I am writing specifically for Mac users. I just purchased this and I am running Tahoe 26.4.1 on M2 Mac - and I had no issues. I just connected it and it worked. Before buying I asked "Alexa For Shopping" and she did not know if it was Mac compatible. It was for me and this device does exactly what it promises too.

Got for my son he loved it he said the recording quality is good and the compact size fits well with his stuff

I bought this item for a microphone booster to my PC and to adjust my sound while streaming/playing games. The microphone is incredibly quiet/useless unless you have the mic at volume 10, at all times. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a volume knob... When on discord and/or a game of any type randomly the volume will spike and blow my damn eardrums for no apparent reason and without being able to be fixed. Not sure why anyone would choose to use a mic input that has to be at 100% to even be heard. It also takes your mic input and randomly turns the pitch up. So I sound like a 5 year old boy randomly. Then randomly it'll start making the sound distort into a robotic sounding stutter requiring a reboot to fix and that only lasts MAYBE 10-15 minutes before jumping up 2 octaves and stuttering. This thing is garbage and I sure hope they make it right once I get an RMA... If not I'm buying elsewhere. Update: I finally got a response to my many MANY emails and am waiting for an RMA ticket only for them to jist stop answering questions in my emails. Don't waste your money and time with these people they don't care about your time and/or lively hoods. Unless they make this right I won't buy anything from them ever again because this is ridiculous. 2nd Update: I finally got my RMA ticket and emailed to ask what the protocol is with this and how long I'll have to wait amongst a few more things and no response so I dug in to see what the guidelines are and it says not only do I have to pay to return it even though I've been trying to return it for months and have lots a lot of money due to not being able to work (I need a mic input for my job) but now they expect me to wait 4-6 weeks for them to determine that it is in fact a defective unit and figure out if they'll try to fix it even though nothing works properly. That's not even the worst part! That time period is NOT including shipping time and I'm expected to pay for the shipping. They don't care about their customers... They just want to squeeze every penny out of you they can while they ignore your concerns FOR MONTHS at a time only to hope that you'll give up and not return the unit so they don't have to send you a new product. That being said this thing was defective the day I took it out of the box and they wouldn't give me a refund only a swap or repair... It's a F***ING disgusting practice and I'm going to file a complaint with the better business bureau. I suggest everyone who's had similar issues with customer service do the same until they stop being such a horrible company.

The M-Track One Solo is a remarkable device up until the point where it begins to experience issues. In my case, it started raising the base of the microphones, and the volume knob wouldn't function properly with my microphones. The Røde NTG2 and the Shura SM7B. As a Streamer and YouTuber, this began to create issues for me. So I sent an email to their support team. I waited four days, and they never got back to me. So I had to call and speak to their customer service team. After speaking to them, I was prompted via email and told that. I need to supply. - The original packaging. - All original content cables, booklets, etc - Proof of Purchase They did supply a FedEx shipping label, but they also got my name wrong on the shipping label, and it felt like they didn't care about supporting their products. I also didn't have the original packaging the M-Track Solo came in either, which raised my concerns further. So I researched if they could enforce such a warranty policy. It turns out that M-Audio could be violating "15 U.S. Code § 2302 - Rules governing contents of warranties" in which they cannot implement unreasonable requests on consumers pursuing warranty claims. The Federal Trade Commission outlines this as "Requiring products be returned in their original packaging." among other things. When I spoke again to their warranty department. They told me that would not be a problem. But this was after; the fact that I raised my concerns on social media. The policy exists in their warranty booklets. So either the individual at the company, in my personal opinion. Is trying to discredit others from seeking warranties by adding discouraging stipulations in which they might not look further into the matter as I have. Or they are just unaware that the stipulation they are outlining in their warranty policy is not legally enforceable. Either way, ignorance is not bliss in this instance. As; for me, it paints the picture of a company that wishes to take your money and try to leave you with a non-functioning product. Either way, I leave this review both to inform consumers of this policy and to prompt change from the company itself. Because I feel a good company should stand by their products and make it very clear without the need to hide behind stipulations to discourage others from seeking repairs in their policy documents. EDIT: It's been a few months since I wrote this review and now the replacement product has decided to give the wrong tempo to my voice when using my microphone, it comes and goes, but it is weird sounding like Barry White.

I've been using the M-Audio M-Track Solo daily with my XLR mic for conference calls and occasionally plugging in my electric guitar—and for the price, it’s a fantastic little unit. The audio quality is clear, the latency is low, and it’s helped streamline my setup for both work and casual jam sessions. There are moments where it feels a bit finicky—especially when adjusting gain—but once dialed in, it performs reliably. I was impressed with how easy it was to set up and how portable it is. For an entry-level interface, M-Audio nailed the essentials. I’d love the chance to try more of their gear and see how it holds up in different environments.
