Oyen Digital 10TB MiniPro Dura RAID USB-C Portable Rugged Hard Drive

Only had it a little while but so far so good really easy to set up using raid 1

I just purchased a 3rd unit of this type from the same vendor. I did so because the first unit I had purchased 20 months ago bit the dust. The 2nd unit I purchased one year ago is still operational. The device is primarily a solid state unit and solid state equipment should last far longer than 20 months. I have a multitude of solid state drives in a variety of servers & work stations. All of them are running in RAID 1 configs. Some of them have been chugging away for 5+ years; & I have yet to have one go bad.Nonetheless, I decided to gamble & purchase a 3rd unit to replace the 1st one even though I noticed a number of other reviews where the devices have failed after short periods of time. Frankly, the only reason I did so was because of the price point.If another unit goes bad within the next 5 years, I'll bite the bullet and pony up the extra dollars for what will hopefully be a higher quality device.

This drive worked great for about 2 years although there seems to be strange power issues with the adapter and USB power. It seems to draw power on the USB interface even with it switched to DC power and plugged into the wall.Now it seems it won’t power on and just shuts off and I believe it has died.

I tried using it as a backup drive for video projects for our agency. After a week I could not delete files or access folders in the drive. We set it up as RAID 0, we need a reliable drive for our Video Production business.
