The dye works well but it leaves some stains

first pic is recently dyed, second pic from a couple of weeks ago and last pic from a couple of days ago. i knew exactly what to expect when i bought this dye. i knew it was going to stain my scalp, my body, my clothes, EVERYTHING. i would even sweat this dye. but it took 1-2 weeks of that and now i dont deal with any staining. i have not retouched my hair since i dyed it on 7/18. i get A BUNCH of compliments on the color itself. it’s so vibrant and such a good color in general. i shower every other day in hot water. my roots and my hair closest to my neck is fading a green color but the top layers is still vibrant. will be buying another box of dye when im ready to refresh the color and am ready for the next 1-2 weeks of stains 😫 10/10 will buy again

I love Splat. I had previouslydone a Brazilian Keratin treatment and my hair is thriving. So as most of us hair coloured enthusiasts tend to do…I bought this Midnight Indigo Blue and the different shades I got thrilled my soul. It’s beautiful. Especially when I step out into the sun. My gray hair picked up the color, very intensely, not disappointed. I love the different shades of blue that I got in there even after doing a keratin treatment that had already lightened my hair. I thought why not let’s see what the gray hairs will do the darker parts of my hair, so I’m quite content with this as a person who home dyes their hair. It’s not something to rush as it does stain and it stains solid. Maybe it’s just my type of hair, but I appreciate how there was no mixing involved from start to finish. I purchased a conditioning cap and left the dye in for 45 minutes to an hour and rinsed it several times until the water came out light blue then I did a light wash with a shampoo that’s conditioning but doesn’t leave too much residue and this looks really well. So once it starts to fade, I’m gonna do a keratin treatment to see what happens and purchase again. I am quite happy with this. You have to take note of the initial colouring of your hair. If you’re not going to bleach it, you have to factor in what applying a hair dye is going to do without a lightening agent. I’m very happy with Splat. My last picture is of my hair in it’s unstyled state, several days after using Splat. Still love it.

I don’t know how to rate it. Does it work? Yes. Does it destroy EVERYTHING it touches and doesn’t stop for 2 weeks? Yes. Does it make rain more scary than Jason? Yes. Will I buy it again? Heck to the no! I’ve had dyes run/bleed a bit, but NEVER like this. My scalp looks like a blue pen exploded in it. It’s so so bad. This is my tub after trying to bleach it out. Praying it eventually goes away. All towels/pillow cases and light coloured tops are ruined. It just doesn’t stop bleeding 😬. Ps- I just dye my all white roots :)

This color may work well for bleached or very light hair but does not work for brown hair as stated on the box. All it did was turn my medium brown hair black. There's not even a tint of blue in it. It's also very dull looking. I suppose if you have light hair or bleached hair this product would work great but since it says it's formulated for darker hair I was expecting at least a hint of blue. Instead I have black hair and a terribly stained blue scalp. And when I say terribly stained I mean it's also blotchy and it's so bad that I don't want to go out of the house without a hat on. It's going to take me hours to q-tip my scalp with color remover to the point where I can be seen in public. It's impossible to keep it from getting on your scalp. While the packaging and contents may be easy to use, watch out, because this blue will stain everything -and I mean everything! This is not a color you want to get on your counters, in your sink, bathtub, anywhere. And be sure to use gloves and make sure those gloves don't have any holes in them or you will have stained hands. Also make sure you have color remover from your local hair care store on hand because you will need A LOT of it. Nothing else will remove the color from your skin. I was looking forward to some gorgeous dark blue hair and instead I have a stained blue scalp and dull black hair.

The colour is poppin' on me. It's meant for dark hair and it works well. I wouldn't use it on hair darker than a light brown though as the darker your hair the less the colour will show, as should be expected. It's highly staining so I would suggest wearing gloves right through till it's completely rinsed to avoid looking like a Smurf. I will definitely consider this product again.
