Review: Worth the money - I tried another brand before purchasing the Mustang. It was tight and poorly made and the floatation material was stiff. This coat is true to size with room for clothes underneath, and the floatation material is soft, making it comfortable to wear. It blocks the wind and the high collar keeps you warm. Don't waste time and money on a cheaper version.
Review: Excellent - Pretty rare that you buy something and it not only meets your expectations but exceeds them, however that is the case with this coat. Really well made, material is tough, seams look good, I’m genuinely impressed. I’ve work it for work on a tugboat and just general winter tasks on land, and it’s extremely warm. Blocks wind completely. It is made in China but they do a great job with the QC. Highly recommend it. My only suggestion would be that I wish the collar had some kind of lining instead of just the bare nylon. The coat is already over $300, I wouldn’t mind paying an extra $20 even if it had sheepskin or even fleece or neoprene like the cuffs. Anyway I still give it like 98/100. I would say consider possibly sizing up if you plan to layer underneath. With a tshirt or single long sleeve my normal size is ok, but kinda tight with a hoodie+tee.

I tried another brand before purchasing the Mustang. It was tight and poorly made and the floatation material was stiff. This coat is true to size with room for clothes underneath, and the floatation material is soft, making it comfortable to wear. It blocks the wind and the high collar keeps you warm. I have worked on vessels for almost 25 years full time as an enforcement officer and now as a commercial tour boat captain. I am on my second jacket as I wore my first one out. These Jackets are warm and comfortable. I have an inflatable PFD and a mustang exposure suit and quality is outstanding. Highly recommend Mustangs Line as the quality is superb and their equipment will last for years if properly cared for and could SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!
