unfortunately this book is not (very) useful anymore traveling in the year 2022. The information provided in the book are not only 4+ years old but also COVID left a painful trail of destruction in central America. Many places are shut down down, business closed, travel companies went out of business and entire towns lost their touristic infrastructure. currently you need to rely on up2date information provided by guest houses, business itself or latest travel blogs - or - explore places by yourself like its 2007 again :-) However, the guide still helped a bit getting a rough feeling for bus connections and border crossings but should not be carried with you and a backpacking trip.
