The product works you just have to practice using it to get a hang of how to do it without pulling out your hair. Yes, it will yank on your hair if you do it wrong. You have to ensure that your hair is in the loop and will not go off to the side where it opens to put your hair in. Once you get it not to go there it should work without it tangling up in your hair. If you do end up getting it tangled don't attempt to pull the stick out. Pull the curler out and then untangle the stick.One person suggested to hold onto the end closest to your head and then pull the other end straight to ensure your hair is on correctly. Totally works and I do recommend doing it. I find that it makes the hair in the curler to go through out the curler if it did not.I only tried it without any products and just wetting my hair and yes, my hair was full and curly.Can you do this on your own without assistance? I was able to do it on my own without any assistance and I don't do these kind of things at all so I am a beginner when it comes to hair or anything like this. I do recommend that you do have someone help you. Once I got to the back end it was harder to do but achievable.Overnight use, not recommended unless you are used to curlers in your head. It does not hurt at all just irritating to sleep on. I am sure if you are used to curlers on your head you would not mind these things on.Appearance, of course it is a given but I just had to say my kids and husband said I look like a colorful Medusa.

If you are very tender headed these might not be for you. When putting these in you really have to use small sections or you won't be able to pull the hair thru. After getting almost all of them in they are heavy on your head & very uncomfortable to try & sleep in. Just use a blow dryer instead. The end result is exactly what you were hoping for.

These are a lot of hassle and I don’t think the end product is worth the time that goes into them!

Pulled my hair, I’ll need practice. Hard to take out, couldn’t pinch the rubber end open to pull off but it was nice to have my hair curling while I was getting things done. Think it was a returned set because there was a black long hair, mine is short and red. Don’t know what the real brand is so I can pinch the ends open

I have frizzy, fine hair, and I try not to heat-style. I tried these hoping I could style my hair in a healthier way. These are great once you figure out which way works best for you to use them. Here's what I've figured out:1. Put them in during the evening after my shower and wear them from 2-3 hours before bed. Make sure my hair is totally dry before removing. I place them with the curl moving away from my face.2. Take them out before bed and hair spray the sh*t out of my hair. My hair looks totally bonkers right after I take them out. . . think Shirley Temple. I leave the ringlets just as they are when I spray and sleep because they relax a lot over night.3. Wake up and style. By morning the curls have loosed tremendously and by afternoon I have a really nice wave that lasts for up to two days.My sister is a hair stylist, and the first time she saw me after I had done the above process, she was literally floored at how different the texture of my hair was. She thought I had put in a few hair extensions. It smooths out the frizz and makes my hair so much prettier. . . But just remember

My 10yo step daughter uses these and I keep telling her she looks like Shirley Temple. Of course, she has no idea who that is. Let's just say she is the poster child for curly hair.Easy to use and works great. Not much else to say really.

My 8 year old has very FINE hair that doesn’t typically hold curl well- even with a can of hairspray!We ordered these in an effort to cut down on hair prep time.They are easy to use, and the curls are perfect and great! One order is enough to do her whole head.BIGGEST ISSUE: I measured her hair and ordered the 7”. They were about 1.5” too short. So I ordered AGAIN - getting the 11”. HALF OF THE BAG WAS STILL SMALLER SIZES. ugh.Great product. Just order extra long and hope they send the right size.

I don't know how to do my hair, I bought these to attempt to learn how to style my hair. I recommend that you install the curl formers in small parts. You may need more than the 42 curl formers provided, but I was able to make it work. A couple of the curl formers we're broken when the package arrivem. They are uncomfortable to sleep in but the results are beautiful. Use a really good mousse and styling gel to hold the curls longer!
