Solo Franklin Premium Leather 15.6 Inch Rolling Laptop Case

i love this bag, rolls nicely and soft leather. took off one star as the front pockets are a bit odd, they open up and are much larger inside. i love how large they are but would have preferred that the pocket size on the outside reflects the large space inside. (mostly as its harder to utilize the inside space with the smaller openings) also would have liked it with more pockets on the inside of the main compartment. the case i got have two main compartments inside the first compartment (one for the laptop and one for files) and then the second compartment houses the handle that comes up to roll the bag and has two small pockets on each side to place items. could have been better utilized. i do like how slim that bag is for what it holds. also the handle that comes up seems a bit weak. it is fine for rolling the bag but i would not trust it to support a back pack of any sort on top of the briefcase leaning on the handle as you are running through the airport (which i would have preferred as i travel weekly) the bag does not top over when placed on the floor which i was worried about when shopping for a rolling briefcase as a lot of other brands had reviews that it was front heavy and would tip over even if nothing was in the bag. for the price the quality is great so far. hopefully it lasts at least a year (or more but i never expect my bags or luggage to last longer due to being at the airport multiple times a week)

I'm pleased with my purchase. The size is about perfect for me, though I must admit I thought it would be larger from the pictures.It fits legal-size file folders just fine. It has a nice padded pocket for my laptop. The handle folds into its own compartment with a couple of interior pockets on either side. I like the exterior pockets for keeping my wallet, sunglasses etc.The leather is nice and supple. Zippers close well, handle folds easily. Wheels roll nicely - they're like rollerblade wheels, not just the one-piece plastic ones you get on some luggage. When the bag is empty it isn't very heavy. It's early in my period of ownership, but I like this bag so far.My only quibbles are minor. First, and this is the same for every bag I've owned so far, I wish the handle was 2-5 inches longer. I'm over six feet; unless I hold my arm out a ways behind me I am prone to kicking it with my heels as I walk. Second, I think I would prefer if the exterior pockets on the front opened further - e.g. they have a decent-sized opening, but the pockets are deep so you have to stick your hand in to retrieve something from the bottom.

It is exactly as advertised (minus the shoulder strap), but a little on the heavy side, presumably because of the telescopic handle, which, I must add, is cleverly concealed, as others have noted. I haven't yet had the opportunity to test its full capacity, but have no reason to doubt what others have written in that regard either. The exterior pockets are all useful for storing assorted items. The lack of shoulder strap is the only disappointment thus far, not least given the misleading description (hence the 4 stars rather than 5). How long before the regular handles snap, especially given the described weight?As for the general quality, I'm never able to tell the difference between faux and genuine leather, but have no reason to believe this isn't the real thing. I'm no great fan of roll-along features generally, not least because I doubt that even the most expensive/most well-built products can cope with daily use, so I must reserve judgment here.I got mine for a third of the list price, but would I pay the list price? Ask me in 6-12 months' time.

This had slightly more space than I expected. The leather is VERY nice. My previous bag has one narrow handle, and my Neverfull tote bag constantly swung sideways and fell off. This double handle and slightly stiffer frame will work better while being dragged to and from the plane. I can attach the Neverfull with straps. It’s an elegant and sophisticated laptop bag. I would have liked slightly more space and bigger pockets, but it will work quite well for my laptop, IPad, and kindles on plane and train trips. Not sure yet if the small but often very heavy jewelry case will fit, but that’s not a biggie. It’s more important that the tote doesn’t swing or fall off. Trial runs have been successful.

I purchased this bag back in November 2018. It's been over a year and the bag still looks as good as the day I bought it. I travel a lot around the country for work and this bag goes with me everywhere. I love all of the small zippered compartments on the front of the case. The main larger section holds a lot including my large work Thinkpad laptop, cables, notebook, tools, etc. The telescoping handle is sturdy and long enough so that you don't have to hunch when rolling the bag. The case is the perfect size for air travel. The wheels are small enough and don't protrude much from the bottom. When everyone else is valet checking their roller bags I am always one of the few exceptions because its the perfect size and small enough to fit in overhead spaces even on smaller connecting airplanes. (I've never not been able to fit it above in overhead). The black leather looks really nice and professional and is easy to clean and maintain. I use Meguiar's leather wipes. Overall I can't say enough good things about this case. I wish I would have found it sooner!
