Some years ago, when hydrocolloid bandages came into the commercial market, I bought some for a cut I had. When I saw how it absorbed fluid, it occurred to me, this stuff could be useful for zits. So, I cut up a bandage into squares and tried it. Sure enough, after one night, the patch had swelled up and the zit had gone down significantly. I used the bandages that way for a few years and then the “acne patches” came out. I’ve now tried numerous brands of acne patches but the companies who produce them are stuck on this idea of making them “ultra thin” and claiming they can be worn in public because they’re “invisible”. Well, that may be so, from a distance but, up close, they are definitely visible. So it seems dumb to me that these acne patch companies sacrifice absorbency for “thinness”. The thicker stuff sucks out SO much more goo. It’s a shame because the precut circles are much easier to use (especially with the perforated backing) but they just don’t make them thick enough. The bandage companies also have gotten on the “thin” wagon, but these are labeled “X-Thin” and they’re more than twice as thick as the thickest acne patches I could find. These absorb very nicely and are ok as far as adhesion goes, tho, I wish they were a bit stickier. Just be sure to get your face sneaky clean and dry before applying and cut your squares large enough to have a good border around the edges of your blemish and get a proper seal. Trust me y’all, this DIY pimple patch is WAY better AND less expensive than the ones made for acne. They do not look pretty but they WORK.

I love these. I buy them for when my son gets pressure spots beneath his bilateral AFOs (Ankle Foot Orthotics.) They adhere well, stay on for a few days and can be removed without leaving a sticky residue or negatively impacting thevsore. For best results, I recommend holding your hand over the bandage for a few moments for optimal adherence and then soaking them in warm water to remove with ease. I sometimes put his socks over them to prevent him from picking at the bandages. I try to leave them on as long as I can before changing them so as to not disturb the healing process. My son usually hates bandaid but he tolerates these very well. I love that I can cut them to the size(s) I need. I wish they were a little more affordable but compared to other brands, they're priced about right. I've been buying them for years and will continue to do so.

These are great and way more inexpensive than DuoDerm. I am a paraplegic now for 35 years. As I have gotten older my skin has changed and breaks down easier. I keep these on hand now at all times so the second a skin break down occurs I can start putting these on. They make a huge difference. When I have to use them I go through them pretty quick which means the more expensive ones are not really what I want to be spending all my money on. I can do more preventative care because I am not worried that my wound care supplies will break the bank. I have had no issues with these. You do have to use some common sense when applying them like most wound care dressings. If you don't apply them right they will not adhere and won't help. But used properly they are awesome. I have found that if I hold my hand on it for about 5 to 10 minutes after applying it then the warmth of my hand pressing on the dressing and my skin helps it adhere better. You can also use a hair dryer to warm it up before applying just make sure it is not too hot or you will burn yourself and cause more issues. If you use a hair dryer you better get your application right the first time because it will stick as soon as it touches the skin. If you need to move it after applying then you are going to have to destroy the integrity of the dressing to get it off and will have to start with a new piece all over again. So get it right the first time. Good rule of thumb even if you dont use a hair dryer..

I liked these but didn’t love them. I ordered these for the large size after I burned myself cooking. I liked that the bandage blended onto my skin making it not as noticeable and protected my raw skin/ blisters. The edges did roll a bit and it wasn’t quite as “cushy” as the other brand. (that other brand didn’t come nearly as large as this brand.) I would reorder if I needed this size again.

If you’re prone to accident and getting boo boo’s you need to have these on hand. I’ve fallen from onewheeling pretty bad and the moist environment makes everything heal faster, less painfully and without scarring compared to just a band aid. They also seal out dirt and debris so you don’t have to worry about infections. They’re made up out of the same stuff as pimple patches but are quite a bit thicker. Super durable, sticky enough to stay on for days until the ooze seeps to the side, then just change it out for a new one. You can cut the to the perfect size. Fantastic value for the money. I have gotten so many people hooked on these. Oh, and since no scab ever forms, you don’t get that super painful tight area that pulls and catches on things. And because of the thickness, if you bump your wound against something, it doesn’t hurt as bad. I’d give these 100 stars if I could!
