Does everything the Gro Clock doesnt
I had a Gro Clock for ages, and despite being the market leader is seriously lacking in many areas:- No connectivity to change the wake time mid sleep- Loses time if unplugged and doesn’t reset time automatically- Hs a blue screen on sleep mode when blue colouration is known to disrupt sleep.- Has a very difficult interface to useThis clock does everything right. User interface on your phone is very easy and intuitive. You can change the wake time in the middle of the sleep mode remotely- this is really good because if your child is sleeping longer you can change the wake time without disrupting them and let them sleep longer. The back light can be any colour you like too.I didn’t have any connectivity issues as some other reviewers have noted, but the wireless router is only about 2m away from where I’ve put the clock so maybe that’s why.All in all, brilliant buy. We’ll worth it and already paying dividends!

Helpful tool to get a few more minutes of sleep!!
This is a handy little tool for little ones that wake too early or won’t go to sleep at night. You can set a ‘timer’ that changes the display colour to show when it’s wake time. The timer can be different for each day of the week which is helpful to differentiate between weekdays and weekends. The brightness can be adjusted via the app so it isn’t too bright at night. Once it’s set up, it’s quite straight forward to set up via the app. We’ve found it helpful and little ones tend to stay in their room until the colour changes and then they’re off!Negatives for me are 1 - it wouldn’t connect to my wifi automatically and the instructions to set up manually weren’t straight forward enough for me to follow easily. It took me about 3 goes and then it worked. Was really easy to set up once it connected.2- it only works when connected directly to power. If there is a power cut it will switch off and needs to be re-set up. If your little one is handsy and disconnects the power cord, it will switch off.3 - It needs to be positioned where the cable (usb socket) will reach. It doesn’t have a plug, just USB that you have to find a socket for and position where little ones will still be able to see it, but not grab it. If they grab it and pull the cable out, it will switch off.4- the night or sleep function is not automatic. You cannot set up a sleep time, only a wake time. The sleep setting needs to be manually activated by the button on the back of the device. I would have found it useful to be able to set a sleep time so that children can play or read in bed and they know when it changes they should go to sleep. For me, this is a handy tool and better than nothing but there is room for improvement.

Love it
Helped my 6 year old to understand daytime and nighttime. He still wakes up at 6-6.30 but he knows the rest of the house wakes at 7. This clock has been very helpful

A must for early rising toddlers!
My boy is 3 and he wakes up so early in the morning but since having this he has been so much better. You can control the clock from your phone and customise colours and when the bear is asleep and awake.Very easy to install and you can change the brightness on it.It has a few sleep sounds to choose from aswell and the sound quality is quite good.My son will wake up, see the bear is ‘asleep’ and he will lie back down for a bit longer!!

Why did I buy this!
This is the most complicated and frustrating thing I have ever brought!!I’m now on day two and still can’t get the thing to change from night to day or day to night on it’s own, I have to keep manually changing it myself which isn’t helpful at all when your doing the bedtime routine and the clock is still on yellow (day) and your child says “see it’s not bedtime” because you forgot to go on the app and change it!!Definitely an over priced clock that don’t do what you think it dose! And all the app is good for is picking colours and setting alarms. If anyone reads this and can help me out it would be much appreciated.

It's an ok clock, but could still be improved
We had Gro clocks for our first two children and they always worked brilliantly - the major downside was that you couldn't control them remotely via an app, which meant creeping in to their room at night to reset after a power cut, or to change the wake time (when you'd forgotten to set it later for the weekend) or manually press the wake up button if you wanted to wake them up earlier than the time the alarm was set for.The Connected clock overcame this big issue, which is why we thought we'd give it a go. Whilst there are many great points about this version, there are still a lot of things that could have been better, or features of the Gro Clock that could have stayed.Overall, I wish that they’d just added connectivity to the original Gro Clock, rather than tried to overcomplicate with this new design! I’ve listed the pros and cons that I found, in case it’s helpful to others!ConsYou can only set the clock to nap time by manually pressing the button on the back of the clock – it then stays in nap mode for the length of time you have previously set on the app.The app doesn’t show when the clock is in nap mode, nor how long they have left on the counted. I find it a little bizarre that the nap mode isn’t ‘connected’ via the app.Nap time can only be a maximum of 2 hours, which is a pain when your child sleeps for longer than this!Instead of a ‘sun’ face for daytime and ‘star’ face for night, the main screen features a bear whose eyes open and close. This isn’t a particularly obvious change, especially if the clock is up high out of reach. The change from star to sun was much more obvious on the Gro clock. The change from night to day is also quite quick, unlike with the Gro Clock, where the stars flash as the ‘sun comes up’.The pictures around the edge that count down and disappear as you get closer to wake time are stars, planets and rockets (compared to only stars on the Gro Clock). They are lovely, but it’s harder to explain to a child what’s happening. With the Gro-Clock we just had to explain that the stars would start to disappear, with the connected clock we have to include the planets, rockets and stars – not a massive problem, but still a little more complicated than perhaps it need be. We also used to allow our kids quiet play if there was one star left, a little more complicated now that there are stars, planets and rockets to consider! You can’t turn the brightness of the clock off completely. Even at 0 it shines a little. It doesn’t come with a plug, only a usb connector. There is still no battery back-up – so if the there is a power cut, the clock switches off. I believe it will regain all the settings once power is back and it connects back onto the wifi though (we’ve not yet tried). The instructions for set up are not particularly user friendly. I’m not sure how many people will understand the 2.4ghz vs 5 ghz network issue. I also managed to type the password incorrectly, but it carried on through the set-up process as if it had accepted it and only later on did the connection fail. It took me a while to figure out it was the password that was wrong and not a step later on in the process! Once I corrected this, it connected easily!ProsLooks good with a great, sturdy base.Cable is quite long, so you should be able to put it up high, out of reach, but still reach a socket! You can change the brightness and colour of the clock for wake, nap and sleep mode. You can set it to play lullabiesYou can remotely set the clock to sleep and wake mode – handy if you want to wake them up a little earlier than planned! You can set up to 4 alarms per dayYou can lock the clock, so littles ones can’t mess around with it!

Love it
My daughter has used other visual clocks to help regulate her sleep and this one is the best so far. One negative is it needs a strong internet connection to work so we have stopped taking it with us on vacation. But at home it rocks!!

Neue Features kommen via Firmware Update. Auch die sind leicht zu installieren. Wir sind rundum zufrieden.

The media could not be loaded.
