Q: once you cut away the border, what is the best size frame for the 12x16? :)

The best way we have found to frame a diamond art kit from any provider is to leave the border intact, and you can fame the work with any larger sized frame, using matt board to cover the border and tie the piece into the frame. Macustom sized frames and matt board is something we will offer in the future, but do not have in stock at the moment. However, in the meantime, any local craft store often has a framing center where you can select your preferred matt board and favorite frame to fit your design.

Q: Does it come with all the materials needed to start and finish it?

Yes. It comes with all of the gems, a pen, the canvas, and the wax for the pen. I do advise getting a sealant though. It will keep hair and dust from sticking to any exposed areas after you are finished with the diamond painting.
